Gonna Jump Out the Window and Run to Disney World! Oct '12 PTR

I started having contractions on Monday, the 3rd. I was just 35 weeks and 6 days!
I consulted with my friend who is a L&D nurse and she said she was working the next morning and for me to just come in then and get checked.
I kept waiting for my contractions to stop but they didn't! They weren't worse or closer, but just there and uncomfortable. I called my mom Tuesday morning and we went to the hospital while Dave stayed home with the other kids.. Kristi (my L&D nurse friend) told me that she had already called my OB and he said if I was 3 or more to keep me! OMGosh!
She checked me and I was 3-4 and 70% effaced... So they decided to monitor me and see if my contractions stopped on their own or got stronger. They got stronger and closer together, so another c/s it was!
My OB said that since I was just 36 weeks there was a 50/50 chance of her going to the NICU, but since my last c/s was less than 18 months ago and this being my FOURTH.. the benefits of delivering outweighed the risks.
I was SO nervous!!! I'm not sure why, I was just scared to get another spinal and go through surgery again. BUT everything worked out wonderfully.. She was born at 3:16 pm on Tuesday the 4th weighing 7 lbs even and 20 inches long. My smallest baby!! And... she has HAIR!! I could not believe it!!
She didn't have to go to the NICU at all, but her sugar dropped and being early she had some latching on issues. Everything is fine now and she is nursing great! She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz when we left the hospital.. AND we finally decided on a name...................

AWE!!! :cutie: She is adorable. I can't believe she is here already. And that is you while still in the hospital? Holy cow... you look amazing.

I am glad she didn't have to go to the NICU.

Congratulations!!!!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

I haven't been on here forever! It's been hectic getting adjusted to 4 kids.. plus I've been planning my BFF's WDW trip, that was fun!

I hope to be on more now.. DH is back to work (he got 6 weeks paternity leave) and I may have more time to start planning my trip.

Thanksgiving is over, my Christmas shopping is finished, DH is back to work FT, that means it's time to start planning!! :cool1:

Right now, I am trying to decide between..

Beach Club
Boardwalk Inn
Polynesian
Art of Animation.

Does anyone have any opinions/advice on any of these resorts? Obviously not AoA, but the other three?

Saw your post on the Oct 2012 thread and followed you over. Havent read your whole PTR, but congratulations on your new baby! I am a mom of 4 kids too.

Never have stayed at BC, BW or Poly, but we are booked at BW for NEXT Christmas. We have been to BC and Poly for dining, but thats it. BC is beautiful and for us it was a toss up between there and BW. I think if we were going during a more "swimming-friendly" time of year, we would have done BC b/c of Stormalong Bay, but since we are going in Dec and swimming will be iffy...we decided to go with BW in a Deluxe Club level room.

Poly is beautiful, but we really wanted to be in the Boardwalk area for this trip. We are staying at CR for our Oct trip and are looking forward to the convenience of the monroail considering we are only going to have 2 days in parks (MK and Epcot).

Art of Animation...I originally looked at that for the Oct trip...and booked it, but ended up cancelling that and booking CR as mentioned above.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Ok, now I have to go back and read through your PTR and get caught up popcorn::

Decisions, decisions!

I would LOVE to stay at a monorail resort, and if we get a resort code, that will be possible.. on the other hand I would love to stay at AoA and have extra room..

On another note.. DD4 erased my notes from my iPhone.. I had all of the restaurants that I want to eat at, price quotes.. all of my planning on there. :headache:

HOW DID I MISS THIS!?!?!?! OMG, Clover is gorgeous!! And did I tell you before that I tried to name Brynn Brynleigh (Leigh is my middle name) but Brandon wanted to simplify it? I might have told you. Anyway, I just want to squeeze her! So cute!

We're trying for a monorail resort for our next trip, but only for 3 or 4 nights. Then I think we're going to switch to Wyndham Bonnet Creek so we have a kitchen and room to spread out. We've never stayed off-site before, so I'm really nervous, but I've heard great things about it. We'll see how it all works out. We just don't have the money to do monorail resort the whole trip, but I figure we could plan a majority of our Epcot and MK time for those days we're staying deluxe and take advantage of the easy access!

Hello!!!! I followed over here from the October thread! At first I was very confused by your trip report! Then I figured you must have had to change your dates! Congrats on your newest addition to your family! I would vote for a monorail resort if it is possible for you. With 4 small children it seems so much more convenient then anywhere else! Hopefully you will get a PIN code but that time frame seems to be lacking the codes! Does your son have off of school in that time period? You mentioned only being able to take 5 days and that is why you were switching but you didn't mention if he was away off then or if you will stil be taking him out of school.

I am thinking with your baby coming early you must have been very thankful that you had canceled your September trip! She may have come even sooner!

Thank you!! She is nearly 3 months now and SO big already :sad2:

My BFF just came back from Disney, they stayed at the Polynesian and were not pleased... I'm taking it off my list..

My son doesn't have time off school. His school allows five days for an "educational" vacation. WDW is that, right??
When September came around, I was VERY glad that I cancelled my trip, NO way could I have made it at Disney being that hugely pregnant! And, she was born 4 weeks early so I may have had her while on vacation. :lmao:

subbing!! heading to the world in october 2012 :cool1:

Yay!! Welcome to my PtR! Your DS and my DD are the same age :goodvibes

I thought that little Miss Briar had deleted my WDW notes from my phone, but I found them! Here are the ADRs I want...

Epcot
San Angel Inn (ts)
Lotus Blossom (cs)

HS
50s PT (ts)
Fairfax Faire (cs)

AK
Breakfast with Donald (ts)
Boma (ts)
Flame Tree BBQ (cs)

MK
CRT - breakfast (tsx2)
Be Our Guest (ts)
Pecos Bill (cs)
Casey's Corner (cs)

Resorts
Chef Mickey's (ts)
Ohana dinner (ts)

So, it looks like I have 9 TS meals and 5 CS meals. I'm going to have to refigure this out. Does anyone have opinions/suggestions about these restaurants? I tried to pick all restaurants that we haven't been to before, we HAVE done the Safari breakfast so maybe I can forget that one..

I'm planning on doing 5 park days, 2 days at MK and 1 day at the other parks. Plus the MNSSHP, with no park day that day.

Now, to figure out where to stay!!

I have 9 TS and 5 CS.
I think I'll drop Donald's Safari Breakfast, we have done that one before, and I am trying to do "new" ones. ;)

I ordered the 2012 Disney Planning DVD, and they sent me a pin code for October for 10%. That doesn't really save much money.... :confused3

This weekend... we are working on redoing Briar's room! It will be a princess room (of course) but it's going to be more vintage.. shabby chic Princess. I'm so excited!! :cool1:
