Have decided to go ahead and get a passporter for DCL and probably for WDW as well. How often are these things updated? I've got a land/sea set up for January. Should I wait for a 2006 edition to come out, or if I get what is available now will I be able to get just the updated pages?

Just bought a DCL Passporter last month and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I think they update about every 2-3 years but not sure.

I'd go ahead and get the DCL guide b/c I don't think the new one will be out by then. But I think a new WDW guide is coming out in the next few months. Go to passporter.com and check and see, it should say when new guides are coming out.

As for updates, anytime something new becomes available, there is an update page on their website where you can just print out the new pages you need and add them to your book. I think they send you an email too when there available.

I have the second edition paperback and am considering purchasing the leather deluxe binder edition for our Sept. 2006 cruise. I love to organize and this has all those pockets, pen holder and a 3 ring binder so I can add in my own pages, etc. :hyper: Has anyone else purchased this and loved it?? Or, is it a waste and too bulky to pack/carry around?? :confused3

This is so funny. I went to buy a cruise book and as I was flipping thru the pages at Barnes and Nobles I found I already knew the things in there. I do own a Passporter though. From the Disney cruise book I picked up at my TA's office and all the on-line threads I have read this just seems to be more informative than my book.

I have the deluxe versions of the cruise edition and WDW edition for this year. I like them both. I got the cruise edition because I plan on taking one next year and it was recommended. There is so much info in it. The weight will depend on how much you put in it.

DW and I purchased this for DCL and she has loved it. As a matter of fact, she loves it so much that about the only time I get to look at it is when she goes to sleep! :rotfl:

It was no problem to pack for the trip, and DW used it to keep notes, save important pieces of paper, etc. So, I personally believe it was well worth the additional money. You also have the capability to update the book for less than the cost of a new paperback (and you get new pockets as well). I am about to order the 2005 update version for our upcoming cruise!

I'm sold! I'm definitely going to buy the deluxe version and can't wait to organize all my stuff into it. Like your DW, I have a hard time just putting the paperback down. Thanks for all the info.

I'm an easy sell, aren't I?? :teeth:

I purchased my deluxe a few weeks ago and I cannot put it down. I should have it memorized by cruise time. I love it.

:thewave:

Is the look of DCL deluxe version similar to the regular WDW Passporter? I saw the paperback DCL passporter in the bookstore but I didn't like it because I want one that has all the nice pockets and journaling capability. Is it expensive?
