Gone But Not Forgotten – My Family's 10 Days of DDP (with Pictures!) - Updated 4/7

Great reviews! I think we definitely want to try the MM Fantasmic Pkg. next year, it's time to see that show. How long before F! did you go, with your "pass", to get seated?

My DH is sitting next to me and is salivating over the pictures and memories. He says this was his favorite meal of the trip.

Ressie time: 6:35 pm
Bill time: 7:43 pm

4 TS Used
Total Cost covered by DDP $107.30

I guess that if I had any doubts about whether to do Ohana on our trip, they have been dissipated.

I love that you have been posting how long it takes you to eat and your totals. Keep it up! :thumbsup2

OMG this is too much and they swapped Todd's dish the sausage pasta (which neither of us liked at all) and brought him the pasta shrimp dish which was swimming in creamy cheese goodness!

This is too much because we were there the exact same time! Too bad we didnt know it or we could have sent the dishes back and said "WHATS UP WITH THIS?" :rotfl2:

I was scanning your pics to see if I could find Todd and myself in the Osborne lights but alas we are missing :lmao:

Excellent reviews!

MickeyNicki - My DH wants to know: do you really have over 17 THOUSAND posts?? :scared1: if so, you really are THE queen of the Dis Food boards.

I am soooo enjoying your reviews! I always think of the time and effort it takes to post a food report!! Thank you!!!!!:wizard:

How could you not order the honey hazelnut cheesecake? I'm going back to Mama Melrose mainly for that. It's so good!

I'm enjoying reading your report and looking at pictures of your beautiful family. Your boys are adorable. :)

Reviews are wonderful. Did your son enjoy that eclair-it looks yummy and bigger than him!

Signing on to your thread. I got to post #35 tonight and am enjoying your reviews and pictures. It's late (why does time go by so fast on the DISboards?) so I'll pick this back up tomorrow.

We're going in November and even though it's eight months away, I'm really looking forward to returning to DisneyWorld!

Okay, I'm all caught up and I have added Mama Melrose's onto my list of possible ADRs and Starring Rolls for our DHS counter service choice.

IMO, Chef Mickey's is always on our list because my DS (10) loves the ice cream sundae bar and because it is buffet, so we can start eating very soon after we're seated. The food is hit or miss, but if the prime rib is cooked medium rare (like in your picture!), my DD (12) and I are happy!

Looking forward to more posts!

I just found this review and i am really enjoying it so,thank you for sharing:)

The picture of your DS eating the Ice Cream sandwich from Main St looks just like my eldest son. He just saw it and said "that kid looks like me" which is funny:)

OMG, it has been a busy few days! Thanks for reading and hopefully not giving up on me. Both DS’s went to wrestling Regionals Saturday morning. We were out of the house by 6:15 am and not home until 6:00 pm.

Kat - Since you took over my thread chatting to Nicki, you must now look at my wrestling boys. Just kidding, I didn't mind - I just wanted to show you my wrestlers! :lovestruc

Sunday was just as crazy! DS7 finished his pinewood derby car. We’re from WI and DS7 loves football. What else would it be...

So, not that anyone one cared about that stuff, but I'm having fun posting pict's! I was really feeling guilty about abandoning this reveiw for so long though! It’s time to get back to my reviews!

Holy cow! I think the next time I go to Disney, it's just going to be on the deluxe plan to eat! LOL
I would love to try the deluxe some time but we were awfully full eating on the regular DDP - and we enjoy eating!

Excellent reviews!

I still can't believe we were there at the same time. It's not that big of a restaurant!

I was scanning my pictures for you as I was getting ready to post them! Very funny!

I'm in, great reviews! This is soo funny, there is a thread someone started about seeing celebs in the parks..I too saw Nicki in the bathroom in the Beach Club before our ADR at Cape May Cafe 2 years ago in October! I was too shy to say hello and that I knew who she was from her pictures/reviews! :lmao:

That is funny! Imagine what she would have done if you had started talking to her while she was in the stall.

Can't you just see "Romeo" beating them off with a stick. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Sorry OP...we went a little off topic. Back to your awesome reviews.:thumbsup2

As long as the Queen is reading my thread, I feel bestowed upon. :wizard: Kat, you can be the Queen Mum.

Since we were there the week before Thanksgiving, it wasn't crowded. We probably got there about 15 minutes before the show and had good seats. They say you should be there earlier, but it really depends on the crowds. I don't think we've ever gotten there more than 30 minutes before the start of the show and always found somewhere to sit, but again it depends on the crowds.

I love this review!!!! Mighty tasty:)

Thanks!

Our family loves 'Ohanas and I know it will be a requirement when we return!

I'm enjoying reading your report and looking at pictures of your beautiful family. Your boys are adorable. :)

I still can't believe that I didn't order it either. :sad2: Thanks for your compliment, they're getting older but they both still enjoy WDW.

Love youf Avatar with the Visa picture! Love that Visa card benefit!

Great review!!!!! I enjoyed your pics.!!!!!! :goodvibes

Thank you!

Reviews are wonderful. Did your son enjoy that eclair-it looks yummy and bigger than him!

He does love chocolate and desserts! I'm not sure he was into the custard filling though. That's ok, we were there to help.

Subbing in!! Great reviews! I look forward to reading more.

Thanks!

... We're going in November and even though it's eight months away, I'm really looking forward to returning to DisneyWorld!

I bet the months will fly by. That gives you plenty of time to prepare for your trip. We really enjoyed going in November -we were even able to swim!

Okay, I'm all caught up and I have added Mama Melrose's onto my list of possible ADRs and Starring Rolls for our DHS counter service choice.

Starring Rolls is wonderful, just make sure to go at the start of lunch time.
We have done Mama Melrose's three times and always enjoyed it . The Fantasmic package is a bargain - especially with the appetizer added on the DDP!

The sundae bar at CM's is great. You can even eat the candy without ice cream! :upsidedow I love medium rare prime rib - and it was delicious!

great reviews so far! can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

I just found this review and i am really enjoying it so,thank you for sharing:)

The picture of your DS eating the Ice Cream sandwich from Main St looks just like my eldest son. He just saw it and said "that kid looks like me" which is funny:)

I didn't realize it until another poster noted it - that sandwich could be as big as a child's face!

Next up, Day 4 at EPCOT!

Day 4 was another full day for us. We arrived for the 9:00 am and cruised through TT and MS. We then went over and rode Soarin and onto the Finding Nemo Ride and Turtle Talk. We then got our Kim Possible mission and headed over to the World Showcase. We were hungry!

Tangierine Cafe – Lunch 11:11 am
I ran over to Yakatori House to get DS7 and I some lunch while DH & DS13 ate at the Tangierine Cafe. It isn’t too far, but just far enough that I started to wonder if I was silly for doing this. So I get Yakatori House and am staring at the menu for a few minutes when FINALLY they tell me they aren’t open until 11:30. I was a bit mad for walking over wasting my time and for them opening so late. So I went back over to the Tangierine Café and stood in line and ordered lunch from there. I do LOVE Tangierine Café though!

Oddly enough, DH, DS13 and I once again all ordered the same thing.

Shawarma Platter- chicken and lamb served with hummus, Tabouleh, and a Tangierine CousCous Salad with a Fresh Moroccan bread. This is soooo good!

My review of the plate: the meat was wonderful, I love hummus and could have eaten a plate of it, and the CousCous salad and the Tabouleh were also very good.

As many of you know, you don’t get a choice of dessert. It is only Baklava. My family likes baklava. I love it. It was so honey and nutty and mmmmmm good! I’m pretty sure I ate more than one piece as the rest of the family was being very nice in sharing their’s with me. We have quite a few Greek restaurants around here and Disney’s baklava is just like theirs. :lovestruc
1003783_1.jpg

DS7 ordered the Kid’s burger with cheese, a bag of chips, soda and Baklava. There isn’t much to say about this except it was a burger and kid’s sized! Cost $7.99
1003781_1.jpg

Each adult platter, soda and Baklava came to $19 each so it is a good bargain on the DDP!

4 CS Credits Used
Total cost covered by DDP $65

I'd do more but DH is flying to Arizona for the day tomorrow and needs the computer to check-in his flight. Up tomorrow, LeCellier! :worship: or :crazy2: ????

Just found your review, you're doing great! Love all the pics! I noticed your DH's Menomonee Falls tshirt and realized you're from WI, too.

OMGosh!!! I am loving your review!!!!! Your pictures are wonderful and your choices are very similar to ours. I can hardly wait for more!!!!

I am so sorry...I got carried away. :rotfl2: But it was well worth it to see those boys' wrestling pics! I love them...they bring back such great memories. Enjoy these days...they go by way too fast. :sad1:

Waiting for the LeCellier review and I promise, as Queen Mum, to stay on topic from now on. ;)

Oh-I love this!!! We live in MN, but DH and his hundreds of relatives are all from WI, so you can take the Packer out of WI, but you can't take the Packer out of the Packer right???

Love your report! I have Starring Rolls down for our DHS lunch, and am wondering what you get with the CS credit? It looked like sandwhich, chips, drink, and dessert..is that right? Are there kid sized Sandwhiches-or would my 7 year olds share that mammoth ham sandwhich??

Can't wait to see more!:)
