My daughter and I want to play golf at one of the disney courses when we go in June. However, we don't want to bring our clubs because we are flying. Does anyone know if you can rent clubs to use?? Thanks for any help:earsgirl:

Yes they do. Call ahead and make a tee time, and let them know you need clubs.

Yes, they do rent clubs, but it will cost you $40-$45. You can make your tee time 90 days prior if staying at a Disney resort by calling 1-407-WDW-GOLF. I'm also posting a link that I believe has much more info than the Disney.com (official) site.

June's a great time to golf, price-wise. There's a "price slice special" (at leat it's been the last few years) for great rates if you tee off after 10:00 am. And if you wait until after 3:00 rates really drop. Yes, it's hot, but there's plenty of water available on all the courses (can you tell DH loves to golf at WDW in June-lots!)

Not only do they rent clubs...they rent Callaways !!!! Worth every penny to play with them.

DH and I have played every course at WDW and Osprey Ridge is our favorite. Although they are all fabulous.

If your as avid of a golfer as we are, you're going to love the courses at WDW. We have always gotten 1st class treatment from the club house CM's right out to the course rangers. Great group of people !!!

Maybe this is the right place to ask a question I have had for months. I don't play golf, but I was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time to buy a set of Disney Golf Clubs in a Disney "D" bag. Disney was replacing all their golf clubs and bags last year and I let opportunity take over good common sense.

I have been told that the driver is a # 10 titaium something. I was also told that even though they say "COBRA" on them that Cobra is made by some other famous manufacturer.

Does anyone know what I have and possibly the value. I also thought they would be cool to own, but now that I've had them a while I feel kinda silly just leaving them in the spare bedroom to look at the Disney "D". I thought I would have friends or gamily that visited down here that would want to play and I would have their clubs here so they don't have to rent them. Well my sister came down and she said "These are guys clubs". I can't use these. so........

No offense to anyone who loves the game/sport, but I question whether I will ever gain an appreciation for it. So since it is nearing Christmas time, maybe I should consider selling them. Should I just put an ad in my local paper? If so what would be a good price how do I judge condition and value? Should I go the ebay way?

The real golfers that stumbled upon the same deal as I were going ga-ga over their luck to have found these. They all said this something, something titanium drive was worth 300 bucks alone. Can this be true???:earseek: one club worth $300?

pintrader......yes some of us silly golfer people actually do spend $300 for a driver :earseek:

If these are rental clubs (which I assume they are), the manufacturer is Cobra. Disney did use Cobra clubs for quite a while.

They will be fairly well used, so you probably won't be able to get "full price" for them. But if they are still in good enough shape (no significant scratches or dents), you can probably get a few hundred dollars for the set.

I suggest that you search the internet for used clubs and see if you can find a set that's close to the one that you have and see what they are asking for them. You can also take them to a local golf course and ask the golf pro there what they might be worth. He/she might even put a note on their bulletin board and help to sell them for you.

Good luck !!!!

Linda

Thanks Linda,
They were rentals, but were not unboxed until 3-4 months before Disney changed them all out. I WAS on the internet for a while but when you don't understand what you have and you don't understand what other peole are saying they have (BIG SIGH)

It's like owning a Van Gogh and not knowing how much you should appreciate it.

Kathryn,

Do you have any way of posting a picture of them?

Tammy

as soon as I get them developed I;ll let you know where we are going to post the. I don't think this is the right forum to do that on.

Thanks for all the PMs and emails. You have all been so helpful
