Just trying to plan for next year's trip (haven't gone this year yet!).
We are in St Pete's for the first week of our adventure, and are keen to take advantage of one of the local golf courses. Has anyone got any recommendations for some good courses in the area?
Also, will we be able to hire clubs etc, and will we need a handicap certificate to play??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hiring clubs isn't going to be a problem, I've never been asked for a handicap certificate in Fl. There will be a load of semi private clubs you can play at. Given the area is less holiday makers than Orlando I would suggest playing midweek so you avoid the busiest days for locals.

I played here, http://www.eaglebrooke.com/home.cfm which I think would be about an hours drive, maybe a little more. This is a fantastic course and if you're a keen golfer well worth the trip. I got a great rate through http://www.stand-bygolf.com/ but I;'m not sure they cover the St Pete's area or if they still do EagleBrooke
