Golf Carts at the Fort.....waaaaay out of hand

Horrors! I've been discovered! Now the whole experiment has gone to crap.

It is not just you, DH does it just to mess with people. I have actually seen a paper with a quote that he put on there from Wikipedia...it was the laugh of the staff a couple of years ago. A planned experiment none the less, but still funny.

You better believe I would!

That's all she asked of McDonalds. They thumbed their noses at her, as they had been sued over 700 times for similar incidents. Their arrogance cost them every penny over $20k. Their spin makes people think the old woman was out for millions, when all she wanted was for them to cover her medical expenses.

It always makes you shake your head and make it rattle when the truth comes out. We have a local case here where someone in the parking lot of Walmart helped the security people catch a thief that had quite a bit of electronic equipment on his person (like ipod type stuff) and was running to his car. If this guy had not stepped in and helped to tackle him, the guy would have certainly gotten away. In the scuffle, his arm got bent the wrong way, broke and required pins to be put back together. All the guy wants is for Walmart to help with his deductibles, but Walmart won't budge. He says he will help again though.

A couple years ago a drunk smashed his truck into my neighbor's parked truck in the middle of the night. I ran out to make sure he was still alive, which he was and was pretty hostile. My reward - the neighbor gave the police my name and I kept getting summons to appear in court, which I would cancel my day for only to be notified the night before that the attornies had rescheduled the hearing, and sorry but I would have to rearrange my schedule for another time. I did it 3 times and finally told them to go to hell and ignored the summons. Next time I roll over and go back to sleep.

The point I was trying to make was that it does not matter in the slightest whether you are right, wrong, or indifferent you can be sued into the ground for absolutely nothing.
Baseless lawsuits are what this country's lawyers thrive on, you see the ads on TV all day, every day.
Have you been injured on the job, think you been injured, have an idea that someday you could be injured, well call us and we will work for you till you get paid.
It will cost you tens of thousands of dollars to defend yourself even if you are 100% in the right.
So even if you don't lose your lawsuit for running me down, its going to cost big money to prove little Timmy was in fact in control of the golf cart and it was my fault for not jumping out of the way.
And on the flip side no doubt your lawyer will most likely counter sue me for getting blood on your tires, and win.
Seems like a lot of drama, just because parents have no ability to tell their kids no.

For those on here who think Mcdonalds was in the wrong will not get their behinds served up on a platter this morning as I am just not in the mood. Consider yourselves lucky!:scared1:

Very true! Just take a look at the "Global Warming" issue on Wikipedia and you will not find any facts disputing this issue as the "censors" who read the edits being made by people will not let anyone place any.

ok, i'll admit life is good...i am sitting here eating a gingerbread man listening to the electrical water pageant music (300 loop) and wishes is about to start......BUT....... i hafta say, and i don't mean to complain or get flamed but what in the HECK is going on with the golf carts at the fort?????

just today ALONE, i have witnessed carts passing other carts in the opposite lane, 90% of the drivers are around 12-14 yrs old, two licensed motorcycles driving around the settlement area, carts without headlights barely visible at night, carts loaded up with 7-8 people and the worst BY FAR of all, a cart with 5 people, one of them a young mother holding a newborn in a car seat riding on the back. i cannot understand why disney isn't enforcing the rules more. i mean, what good are rules if they're not enforced? it is only a matter of time before something really serious happens. also, what is with the carts loaded with kids speeding through the loop well after dark (around 10:00) screaming at the top of their lungs!!! grrrr!!! the problem with the young drivers is they don't know the rules of the road, most of these incidents were with young drivers, notably the one crossing in to the opposite lane and also not using headlights. i know this just can't happening while i'm here, it is probably all the time. anyways, just had to vent cause i just couldn't believe what i was seeing, this has been since we got here, but it was especially bad tonight.

ok, wishes is going off, the music is blaring in the back of the 300 loop, how bad can things be right?

The irony is last feb. while I was walking the 300 loop carts came whizzing by so I quickly stepped off the loop pavement only to step in a poo pile......

I believe the private cart days at the fort are numbered........why does the 300 loop campers refuse to clean up?????

Marek said this thread could use a little pixie dust pixiedust: Since I'm PolyPixie....I thought I'd see what I could do...and try to keep the lovey-dovey, kumbaya-ness to a minimum so nobody looses their lunch.

As I see it....a little bickering is healthy, nevertheless.....

It seems to me that what this whole thread boils down to is simple courtesy (and maybe a warning against the validity of wikopedia). Many people these days feel that they are above rules. They feel entitled, blameless. Kids drive golf carts recklessly and then parents get ticked when they are shown the rules and have to pay the consequences. Rules are made for a reason and if we all just respect them, we wouldn't have these issues. This is the same mentality that causes people to be sue happy! My sis-in-law is a realtor and she was sued recently for saying a house had forced heat (like the owners told her) instead of something else~craziness!

Yeah, FW should maybe do a better job enforcing....but they shouldn't have to.
