This might be answered already somewhere, but I didn't find it when I searched. Are you allowed to park golf carts outside the bathhouse while you shower, wash clothes, etc? We've been trying to decide about whether to spend the $ on a golf cart for our upcoming trip. This will be the deciding factor for me. Thanks for the help.

It depends......

Some of the comfort stations have a wide pathway that leads to the comfort station where golf carts are allowed. Some have a narrow sidewalk where a golf cart wouldn't fit. However, if you get close and park it "out of the way" of traffic flow, then you should be fine.

We requested 2000 loop but could be there or 1500. Do the bath houses in those loops have parking or will I need to pull "out of the way"?

I don't know if the paths at 2000 / 1500 are suitable for buggies or not,
but if you plan on haul'n around bulky dead weight like laundry, souvenirs, kids,,
then ya might wanna rent one, :thumbsup2

I find doing laundry on vacation a LOT more pleasant with a golf cart. :laundy:

Our dogs talked us into getting one and we were glad that we did. Looping is soooooo much fun!

The girls would be HIGHLY disappointed if they didn't get to ride the cart to the dog park and then have their "cool down lap."

It's gotten to the point where if either of them walks by *any* GC they just jump in and sit down. ;)

Thats the bad thing about bringing your pets,,
they can be so persuasive.

You of all people should know that about our dogs Fudge and Molly all too well. After all, they talked you into giving us donuts!

(and here you thought it was your idea!)

I don"t think you really need a golf cart to get to the bathrooms. They're a short walk from every site. But if you want to save money on a golf cart, Kenny is your man. I got his name from disboards and I only heard good things. And they were right. Super proffesional and I saved a bundle.

Can anyone give me the price for renting a golf cart. So many years since we've stayed in FW. Wasn't an option then. This sounds like such a good idea.

$63.54/day ($59 plus tax) at the Outpost (407-824-2742). Fort Wilderness carts may be reserved up to one year in advance.

There are also off site rentals for a lot less $
