Hi,
I am looking for suggestions on where to play golf in May.
We are staying at SOG and we will have a car. How are Palm and Magnolia? Are they worth the $$$ or should we venture out?
Also does anyone know if a military discount is offered?
Thanks.

Palm & Magnolia are beautiful courses and are used by the PGA every year for the Children's Miracle Network Classic (formerly Funai Classic). They are very convenient to SOG. Disney also has LBV at SSR and Osprey Ridge (the only one I haven't played yet) then there is Disney's Oak Trail a 9 hole walking course that is more family friendly.

I think they're worth the money, the course are great and the "resort course" treatment is nice. Discounts are available for resort guests, dvc members, AP holders. Check with SOG about Military discounts.

Here are some links to Disney golf information:

Yes there are military discounts for the golf courses. The cost for the Palm and Magnolia are $55 I believe... but you can only make your reservagtions 24 hours in advanced and it has to be for after 10am.... if you go on the SOG website go to the FAQ link and towards the bottom it has info on golf....
