Did anyone watch this?

I kind of got creeped out by how she looked. Her big blue eyes, moving moith, hair that was swaying and nothing else moved. It kind of looked comical but still creepy like a mask. I think she is one of those gorgeous women that would still be beautiful if she just let herself grow old or maybe a light touch but she went a little too far.

Anyone else see it?

And....are you happy? :rotfl: We now need to teach kids how to be happy? If she needed a project aren't there kids unhappy somewhere because they don't have clean water or anything to eat?

I watched it and just thought her face looked puffy. Though I was more just listening since I was painting at the time. As for the happy kids talk, I work in an elementary school and we have so many kids on anti-depressants it's very sad. One poor fifth grader was diagnosed with severe depression in kindergarten. But that's due to home life and a whole other discussion.....:sad1:

I can't stand her and saw for a second before flipping the channel. Never was a fan....

I think women in Hollywood are darned if they do and darned if they don't when it comes to plastic surgery.

I like the whole acting profession much better in Great Britain -- they actually let their actresses age -- and still have movie and TV roles for them. It's not always about the next young thing. In the U.S. you seemed to get dumped at age 50 - if not earlier.

I think it's a good idea. I've seen many, many unhappy children. Why not give them the skills now and they'll maybe be happier adolescents and adults.

I thought she looked fine. I didn't notice any non-movement.

I am her age. I can't believe how many BAD facelifts there are out there. These people should have access to the best.

When I am in So.Cal I cannot believe how you are just surrounded by facelifted weird looking people. A facelift at that age should be very moderate. Just a little tightening - not trying to recreate the look of a 25 year old because it cannot be done.

I'm not against plastic surgery at all. But realistic expectations are important. Here - let's remove a little of that chin sag. Not I am going to remove 40 years off your face.

I am not against plastic surgery if I had the cash the girls would be lifted! Anyone good with leviataion? My girls need it!:rotfl:

However some go too far. I remember Dixie Carter talking about her face lift and this always stuck with me. She was talking about how she got the Designing Women part and those women were all younger. She needed a lift. Her instructions to her surgeon was to go easy. She said don't let my 50 year old eyes be on a 20 year old face. Make it just fresher. I always thought that she looked great.

Jane Fonda is someone that looks great. When she did Raising Georgia she looked visibly older and I thought ok someone that is doing it gracefully. I saw her recently on Oprah and she talked about having some work done. She had it and she still looked her age but great at her age. I was impressed.

Some women wear it great and others look like a moving mouth and eyes like Goldie and because I don't want to be seen as a hater......bless her heart! :goodvibes

At first I thought her happiness thing was just fluff, but if it puts good ideas into some parents heads (the ones who need it), it's all good.

Her face lift is so obvious that I felt kind of embarrassed for her. The bottom half of her face looked so plastic and fake. I'm all for plastic surgery. I just wish hers was a little bit less tight. But if she loves it, again it's all good.

Eh, I just looked up the interview on Oprah's website. She didn't look nearly as bad as I thought she would after reading this thread. I've seen WAY worse. She looked okay.

She didn't look so bad to me, either, just too tight, so a little bad. lol

It looks like a new norm is forming...old(er) women with faces like young women. Somehow it just doesn't "fit", but I guess we'll get used to it as normal over time. And then the women who don't get facelifts will look like freaks. lol
