Gold stuff...gone from parks? AND was this a fair trade? PLEASE read!!!

I did it again with a Mule and got the PDF for the Gold Collection.

A couple of other things, I took a photo of the NEW hidden Mickey with a character that had already completed the Quest. Just got the photo with no mention of the Hidden Mickeys so even though the Mickey is moved you can't do the quest again. Other thing is you can still get the Spacesuit magic without driving a car. Thought they might have changed it with the new Quest machine tasks.

I asked about gold Mickey ears at the hat shop on Main Street when I was at Disneyland today. The cast member couldn't find any in the drawers. This could simply mean they are temporarily out (which has happened before) or it could mean they really have been removed for good. The CMs don't usually know if they're going to receive new cards.

I was quite confused by what you meant Mia, about the trade advice so I can't really put in my opinion there.

As for the gold collection, I had heard that it would be retiring because it does say 50th Gold Collection when you click on it.

Oh by the way I really hope they give out prizes for the hidden mickey quest that you don't have to go to one of the parks to redeem (like that will ever happen!). I can't go obviously so the hidden mickey quest seemed like quite a waste of time to me.

Thanks everyone :) To reply to your post, Sparky: the 50th collection is not what I mean. The 50th stuff is the gold mickey lamp, directors chair, and pin. I meant the "gold collection" that is the generator, scoreboard, turnstile, rope divider, and philharmagic chair. That was the prize from the PDF when you do the HM quest (the newest one). You take the PDF to VMK central and get a card with a code that gives you all 5 items at once.

And about the trade, I guess I made it complicated. I was asking who got the better deal, (IF it was one-sided), or if the deal was fair for both people.

I will go ahead and say which person was me, and explain again:

I traded a haunted mansion clock, bat bag, red number generator, and gold generator (from gold collection), and the other person gave me a red crate and a fire wall (from old pirate quest). So, did I get a good deal, or did the other person get a better deal? Or was it about even for us both? That is what I was asking.

Thanks everyone :)

Mia, I'm not sure about the trade, but I think the talk of the gold collection and the 50th tying together is because on the actual card, the items are in a gold shopping bag with the number 50 on it in the middle of the Happiest Celebration on Earth logo (it also says HCoE). My guess would probably be that they'll re-design the cards at some point but keep giving out the actual items.

ETA: Looking at the back of the card now, it says: "Create your own virtual attractions with this 50th anniversary collection of interactive game pieces."
