Gold/Platinum Castaway Club onboard shopping benefit???

Can anyone explain exactly what the new shopping benefits for Gold and Platinum CC members are? The language is so ambiguous, it is definitely not the 10% off before, but it could literally be nothing at all?

We just made Gold this month, and I am curious as to what we will actually get on our next Cruise in December.

Good to know. I wish they would just say that, rather than the vague language they now have to describe the benefit.

The cast members are really good about giving you the discount when the look at your KTTWC.

I was surprised when I bought some little toiletry item and they even discounted that.

Just adding.... I've never received a discount in the shops on Castaway Cay. I've been told those shops are exempt from Platinum/Gold Discounts. Perhaps this recently changed with the new structure?

I don't think theres any discounts on the island. Crew/Cast Member discounts don't work there either...

It just upsets me, because we like to buy the Castaway Cay 5k shirts, and that merchandise is only sold on the island, hence no discount!!

Oh I hear you, as a CM I worked hard for my money and didn't want to give it back to the company, but I wanted to buy a few CC gifts for people back home.
I think its more to do with the Bahamas and tax over Disney being difficult tho...
