Hello everyone! I've been reading everyone's pre-trip reports and I was inspired to start one of my own!
We are headed back to Disney for our 3rd trip in August (less than 2 months away!!!). Our dates are August 14-28 and we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge resort. At first we planned on staying at Pop again (we stayed there last time and LOVED it) but we got a good deal so decided to upgrade to a deluxe and see what it's like. I have been warned by other Disney-obsessed friends though, that once you go deluxe you will never want to go back!
The best part of this trip is that our 3 boys (7, 4 and 2) have no idea that we are going! We have told them we won't be going back until next summer and plan on surprising them the morning we leave to go to the airport (we fly out at 5:55am so they might be too tired to really understand what is going on, I can't wait to get that on video!). My plan is to give them all new shirts to wear that say "This kid is going to Disney!" and wait until my 7 year old reads it and tries to figure out what is going on!
Then we will hop in the car and away we go!
So to start out, here is the cast of characters for our trip.
Me:
My favorite part of our Disney trips may just be the planning and anticipation...and the Dole Whips.
My handsome hubby:
He's a thrill seeker and loves the rides, he's also a big fan of butterbeer.
My oldest son:
He is 7 and like his dad, he loves the rides. This will be the first trip that he is tall enough to go on pretty much anything he wants. His favorite rides are Splash Mountain, Big Thunder and Living with the Land!
My middle boy:
He is 4 and obsessed with Star Wars, Frozen and Lego. He's also the clown of the family for sure. His favorite things about Disney are the parades and fireworks.
The baby:
He just turned 2. The last time we went to Disney he was only 4 months old, so he has no idea what he is in for. He loves Toy Story and Tinkerbelle and I can't wait to see his face when he gets to meet them!
And that's our family! We live in Newfoundland, Canada and can't wait to get back to our favorite place in the world!
That's it for now! Will update soon with some of my plans!
