We are doing a split stay, 4 days at VWl and then down to Vero!! This is our first time at Vero, so any and all advice is welcome!!! I do have a few questions: good, economical places to eat in the area, actiivities for the kids who are 8 and 10, a good place to do a boat ride (fan boat?).

Anything you can tell me would be great. We are there 11/5-11/9. I may be looking for a place for the kids to take a surfing lesson as well. We did that in NC this Summer, and they LOVED it!! Thanks again..you guys rock!!!

Check out the Vero Beach Adoration thread for tons of great information - many of your questions can be answered there.

As far as dining, if you don't mind an early dinner, many local places have early bird specials (generally for dining before 6pm) that can be a great deal. I always enjoy Squid Lips, myself. Mr. Manatees is very inexpensive and casual but most of their menu is fried which can be a deal breaker for some. For breakfast, I like Country Ham & Egg in Sebastian on US1.

from our many trips to vero all be it awhile ago, most if not all of the town closes by 8-9pm. make sure you aren't planning to do a late dinner!
