We have been to US and IA a few times with our girls. This will be our first visit with our 10 y.o. daughter since she's required a wheel chair in order for us to go on vacation to places like Disney and US/IA. She does not require it 100% of the time, but wears out very easily and cannot stand in line for long periods of time (anything over 10 minutes will be difficult). She has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
We've never experienced US/IA with a wheelchair before and there's not a lot of places online that gives much information (other than the universal site and it's not as good as Disney's info.).
How do things work with a wheelchair at both parks? What can we expect?
We are not looking for special treatment in any way. We expect to stand in line with everyone else. She can easily transfer to the ride from her chair. It's just that she cannot stand for long periods of time. Has Universal updated their lines where wheelchairs are able to fit through them? Or is it necessary for us to take different entrances?
We are trying very hard to make this a 'laid back, relaxing' vacation and plan to take things slower with more breaks. We are staying at Royal Pacific.
