Welcome to the Darkside! ;)

When are you going? That will say a lot about crowds.

Hello! :)

Also some rides get way more jammed than others. Are you staying onsite or offsite?

Lines will be long if you don't get there when the parks open, UNLESS you have the Express Pass. We went last year without it, and just got there at opening. We went straight to the back of the park at US and rode Simpsons, MIB and Jaws, then worked our way up towards the front. By an hour after opening, the lines were about 40 minutes for the rides up there. We utilized the single rider lines for the rides that had them, which saved us some waits.

This year, we stayed onsite one night and got the Express passes. That was really nice to have, although I didn't think the room was anything to write home about. We might buy the one day Express passes next year, but I don't know. The ticket prices are so high now, that makes for an expensive day!

Lines are long everywhere in the summer. in the fall or Spring you can walk on most of the best rides. Even with Harry, the lines for the other rides aren't as bad as at Disney World. 20-30 minutes max.

new to US studios also. Got our tickets from Maple Leaf ($129 for 14-day park hopper) so we're thinking of going a couple days early and a couple days later in the day (saw parking after 6 is just $3) By late in the day are most people gone? We're staying at Windsor hills in 4 bed/4 bath house and don't really want to pay the parking price every day (actually only planning on three early days because we wanted some time to relax around the house and enjoy the pool). We're really only there 7 days, but the tickets came as 14 which is fine for that price can't beat it even if we don't use the other 7 days.

The parks at US don't stay open as late--I think 9pm is the latest, unless is is during their Halloween stuff. From my experience, the lines did not go down at night. Now, the line into WWOHP was not there in the evening like it was in the morning, but the lines for the rides and stores were still long.

I'm staying at the doubletree hotel which is at the enterance to the park so I guess offsite

I'll say it, I'm just to darn excited to care how long the lines are. Its been a childhood dream of mine to go here and after about 10 years its finally happening :) :) :)! sorry if this seems childish

How long will you be there? It will be crowded, but it is definitely doable. Decide what you want to do and download a map of the parks off the website. The lines will build quickly for the most popular rides, so do those first. For WWOHP, you might have a hard time unless you get there well before the parks open or go back later in the afternoon/evening. We went around 6pm and were able to do the rides without too much wait, but the stores had really long lines.

Good luck! I'm sure you will have lots of fun!

I'm going be there for 5 days so I'm hoping thats more than enough what are the most popular rides there so I know which ones to do first?

At IOA, definitely Forbidden Journey in the Harry Potter area. Also in IOA, the Hulk Coaster and Spiderman ride. And maybe Jurassic Park River Adventure.

At Universal, Simpsons, RRR coaster, Men in Black, Revenge of the Mummy.

I think with 5 days, you will have plenty of time to fit in all the big ones and the rest and then have lots of time left to repeat your favorites.

We stay offsite too and get what we want done. Or at least we did before WWoHP got there. :)

Get to the parks early! That is without question the best way to get a lot done early.

I agree with the list already given for those early attractions. We also sometimes run into long lines at Jimmy Neutron and Disaster. If something is too crowded, you might want to come back later or another day. It's good to have several days.

By the way, I like that Doubletree. Nice location too.
