Going to Tokyo/TDL In August - can anyone reconmend a tour guide in Tokyo?

Just found out we will be going to Tokyo for my husbands job at the end of August for 12 days. Of course we will visit TDL. but I was wondering if anyone who has gone can recommend a tour guide in Tokyo?

We used toursbylocals.com - my wife had a list of places we wanted to visit, and then matched that against the various guides tours and availability.

We then constructed a custom tour which took in the things we wanted to see. We used Yasuko Mi, and had a great time. Having a local cut a lot of 'wasted time' out of our day as she knew exactly what train/bus/platform to catch to maximize our day.

Google 'Tokyo Free Guides' and see if the program is for you. I've heard many positive reports.

I was able to get a volunteer guide from Tokyo Free Guides for our trip in May. You just need to email them and they will have a guide contact you if one is available for your date/s.
