Howdy all,

I and the family will be staying at the POR-FQ resort on April 15 - 21. With all the talk about the resort closing, I was wondering what the condition of the rooms and area is now? Are the rooms nice? Or are they worn looking. I have never been there and was a little worried.

Comments? Questions? Cusswords?

We stayed at POFQ in December and I thought the room looked new, almost as if it had be recently renovated. And the rest of the resort was very clean and well kept.

We stayed there in December too and I thought the carpets were due for cleaning.... not too bad, but not spotless either. Otherwise everything was fine. It didn't look brand new, but not old and tired either.

What are rooms at Riverside like?

I was a little concerned myself. We will be staying at the POFQ
the last few days of April and I was wondering how service etc will be. Sometimes you wonder if things won't be as clean since they know that the renovation will be coming up. I am sure everything will be fine:WDW being professional and all. But I have to say I also had the same thoughts.

We stayed in PO-FQ last October. You will be fine with the rooms. They are clean, pretty, and considering the fact that they haven't been renovated since opening in 1991, they look pretty darn good.

Don't worry about it! The resort is great, and relish the fact that you will be one of the last to enjoy everything that this resort has to offer for about 2 years!

Oh, and have a beignet for me!;)

I stayed in building 7 at PO-FQ in February. I thought our room was in excellent condition. Food Court & Lobby looked good too.

The wife and I put this trip together at the last minute. :o

We got a deal at the POFQ and jumped on it before finding out that the resort was going to close a few weeks after we left. It just got me think that we may be in for a problem. I have run into situations before where we walked into the room and found wallpaper peeling off the walls.

We are going to wake the kids up and go to the airport without telling them where we are going, and see how long it takes for them to figure it out.

We just didn't want to walk into a bad situation. Considering that we just had one of the best vacations at the Grand Floridian in January. :)
