Going to Norway - Help

Inspired by the World Showcase Pavilions, my wife and I are visiting those countries one-by-one over the next few years. Has anyone ever been to Norway (lived or vacationed)? Any recommendation on a favorite city / location in Norway?

We are thinking of going to Alesund & Geiranger (to see the Geirangerfjord); and see The Trollstigen Mountain Road.

Any other Norway recommendations? Thanks!

We did a cruise round Norway last year and loved it - look for my trip report called "life begins at fjord-ty" on the trip reports board.

If you can get to Flaam that is absolutely beautiful and Bergen is well worth a stop as well especially the old town.
