Going to Magic Kingdom for 3rd Birthday

We are taking DD to MK for her 3rd birthday next Wednesday. Is there anything special they will do since it's her birthday??? We're having lunch at CRT so we will get cake, but I wasn't sure MK offers any secret (or not so secret) birthday surprises. I think I also heard something about getting a birthday button?? Can someone please elaborate! Thanks for any help!

If you aren't staying on property, go to Guest Services in the morning and they will give you a birthday button to wear. If you are on property, you can get it at check-in. Sometimes, this will get you something small for free, but it will give you lots of happy birthdays and probably extra attention from characters. You will likely get a free cupcake and card at any of the sitdown resturants.

Go to guest services to get a birthday button. Then EVERYONE wishes her a happy birthday! My son celebrated his 8th birthday in dec 07 when we were there for christmas. Also go to the ice cream parlor on main street at Magic Kingdom. If others in the party are ordering an ice cream cone the birthday person gets a special one for free! They did a great job with conners and the entire ice cream shop sang happy birthday to him!
