Going to DTD From AK

Thinking of heading directly to DTD after our AK day. I know there is no bus service directly from the parks, but does anyone have suggestions on the quickest way to get to DTD from AK? Should we go back to POP and then transfer to a DTD bus? I also thought I read somewhere you could walk from Saratoga Springs, but I am pretty unfamiliar with the layout of this resort.

You'll need to take a bus to any disney resort and then take a bus to DTD. Port Orleans riverside and SSR offer boat rides to DTD if you want to do that instead of taking another bus. Like you said you could walk from SSR too.

Taking a taxi is another option if you want to save time. It's probably about $25 (plus tip) and wouldn't involve any transfers. Otherwise, yes, you'll need to get to a Disney resort (I'd consider getting onto the AKL bus because that's a pretty short ride), and then either busing, boating, or walking to DTD depending on which resort you use for the transfer.

I would transfer at Pop. It's on the way and the bus service is quicker than most resorts.
