Hi all,

Thanks for all advice I have had so far so it now looks as though we will be taking my step daughter aged 7 our two sons aged 4 1/2 yrs and baby born in March travelling 12th dec staying 3 nights where is the best place to stay in your opinions for our kids? whats the difference between staying in park and staying outside of it ? and which is better etc

Thanks Poppy

P.S sorry for all questions just we wont get to go often and I want it to be special and magical for us all and looking to book it all soon.

Don't worry about all the questions that is what this board is for :goodvibes

If your party is 2 adults, 3 children and an infant you'll be restricted to looking at a suite option, Davy Crockett Ranch (although you need a car), Explorers which has a bunk room option for families or a house.

On site I can't praise DCR highly enough. Explorers has lots of supporters.
Have a look at the Hotel FAQ and some trip reports :)

For a famil of that size I would recommend the Marriott (2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, full kitchen inc Washer and Drier, and 3 tvs - sleeps 6 and much cheaper than the other Disney options.

Also Pierre and Vacance could be a good choice.

Some Disneyland Hotel rooms sleep 5, but these family rooms are VERY expensive.

Personally I do not feel the need to stay on site at DLP as I do in the US parks, but I have been many times. If money is not an issue, then the Family Rooms at DLH or a suite in the Disney hotels are an option. Or the Explorers, Marriott and Pierre & Vacance offer better value for money IMHO.
