going to DL!!-airport choice

yyeeeaaaaaahhhhh!!!!! but???? which airport would you fly into if money is no matter.....going to DL, universal, legoland, sd zoo...IN FACT, will probably go to universal first...will do san deigo last............so what will it be!!!

We flew into Burbank, rented a car at the airport, started at Universal for a day, on to 4 days at DL/DCA, dropped car at John Wayne Airport flew home, worked out great.

If you are going to do Universal (see my PM for details) , I would probably do LAX. If you want to spend more time at the beach, probably SD. If you are spending more time at D-Land, LAX, Ontario or John Wayne (my least favorite) would work better.

I agree, if you're going to Universal first fly into LAX; if you're doing San Diego last fly home from there.

I used to work at 10 Universal Plaza, next to Universal City.

Burbank is the closest airport.

Orange County (John Wayne) is the closest to Disneyland.

LAX lies in between the two.

Fly into Burbank and rent a car there. Stay at a hotel near Universal for a night and do that park. Then drive down to Anaheim and do DL/DCA for however long. Then drive down to San Diego to finish you trip. Turn in the rental car in San Diego, and fly home from there.

That's the best way to do it if the extra cost of flying into and out of different airports and of turning in the rental car somewhere different are no problems. However...

Do not fly into Burbank if you have to connect at LAX. It'd be a waste of time to wait and fly from LAX to Burbank. You'd get there much faster by arriving at LAX and then driving across the city to the Universal area, even with the famous LA traffic.

Also check out Long Beach. Generally great rates going into there.
