Going to Disneyland Park in the evening.

I have been to Disneyland many times, I know everything about it. But, there is one experience I am not familiar with.

I have always got to Disneyland Park bright and early at 8 am.

This year we have a July trip planned and are arriving on a Saturday and want to head into the park when we get there, most likely we will head in around dinner time with our park hopper.

Do you think we will be turned down because the park has reached max capacity? How often does this even happen? I remember I saw it happen once during Christmas. What about July?

You should be fine, its unlikely to reach capacity. Even when capacity is reached, by dinner/evening time it opens back up.

We arrive in the late afternoon a lot and have never had a problem. Of course we don't do this on holidays or on the last day before an AP block out day (like last Friday).

You should be fine.

I agree you should be fine. Today (Independance Day) is likely to be the only day that has enterance restricitions and in addition Thanksgiving Week and the week between Christmas & New Years.

I'm sure you will be fine, even on the 4th of July my daughter and I showed up about 7:30 pm and had no problem getting in! I have seen a few days when they were doing handstamps even for AP's because they thought they would reach capacity, but it's been a while and was always around some special event I think.

I think you'll be OK. I believe Saturday is a blockout date for all but the Premium APs, so by all predictions crowds should be quite manageable.

WORST case, you could hop over to Downtown Disney for a while. Realistically, though, I don't think this will be an issue at all.
