Going to disneyland paris-advice wanted thanks xx

Hi,
i'm off to Disneyland Paris for 3 days on Tuesday.I have 6 yr old twin girls who are princess mad.Hubby is going with me .I am recovering from Leukaemia so am not as energetic as i used to be.Can anyone suggest the best rides,times etc.Also would like the girls to meet the Princesses but know we wouldnt eat the food at the lunchtime eat and greet.Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated,Thanks xx

We'll be there next Wednesday to Friday. I also have a 6 year old DD, and I'm no fitness freak he he.

Are you staying at a Disney hotel, and do you have extra magic hours? We do, and I'm intending using at least one morning of those to get close to the front of the queue for the Princess meet n greet at the stage in front of the Castle. If you stand there just before rope-drop at 10am, you won't have so long to wait to get pictures etc with a Princess or 2 (or hopefully 3 ).

Fantasyland is great for little princesses - everything there is close together, so you won't have to trek far. Also, in the Studios, everything is close together, as its much smaller than the main Park, and theres now loads of things to occupy kids of ours ages. Meeting the characters is also easier in the Studios, as its often quieter than the main Park.

Butting in here (sorry!) where does the princess meet n greet take place and when? DD would love it especially as we can't justify the princess meal.

We have magic hours as we're staying at the L'Elysee - trying to find out what rides we can go on in that time! Do you know?

When we were there a couple of weeks ago, we went to the Princess stage after our GMF breakfast and were first in the queue, I deffo recommend it because as soon as the rope drops, there's a manic rush of mums and dads dragging kids along hurdling the line marker to try to get in the queue!
When we were there, Cinderella and Prince Charming were on for the first half hour-40 minutes, then a different princess and prince came out and so on. Some people in the queue behind us intended on spending their entire morning re joining the queue until they had every autograph Easy for me to find it a bit weird I suppose when my son isn't overly interested in Princesses!
I would suggest that as you are still quite fragile, you should def do a GMF breakfast if poss and at least that will take some of the madness away for one or two princesses. I'm sure dh said that sleeping beauty was by the castle at the same kind of time, although I didn't see her myself.
Another tip for you, when the parade starts, try to be in Fantasyland, by the Pizzeria Bella place, because the princes and princesses began the parade by dancing together along the street (apart from Ariel who seemed a bit 'fixed' where she was!). It was very special to be able to see them dancing like that. Also, we found it was much less crowded too, agan, a bonus if you find that your energy levels are fading fast by that time of day.

Hello I am going next week with m,y daughter who is Princess mad too we have booked luch at the Abugre de Cendirellon expensive but it is my birthday and I have had good reports I will defiantely use some of the above tips as well though

Hi Obscure,

As milomummy says, the princesses meet n greet is from around 10am, at the stage area in front of Sleeping Beautys Castle. Beside the stage and the castle are tiered seats (one of the viewpoints for the parade as well). So the stage area is kind of off to the right a little from the Castle, if you're looking at the castle from Main Street. Don't worry, you can't miss it!

I'm also taking milomummy's tip about where to stand for the parade on board - it sounds ideal.

I've read here, that for morning Extra Magic Hours, most of the rides in Fantasyland are open, as well as Buzz (and one other?) ride in Discoveryland.

Definitely worth the early get up. It also puts you in good place to get on Pirates soon after rope drop, queue for characters at castle (usually Princesses) etc

There is an official photographer with the Princesses.

At DLRP they still operate (AFAIK) the system where they give you the numbered slip of paper for you to go and view your photo, as they did at WDW in pre-Photopass days.

I don't know whether they have an actual framing service, I think perhaps you will have to buy the frame and put the photo in yourself but the frames are the correct sizes for the photos so no fiddly trimming or anything.

I was wondering if there was something similar to the onride frames, where the photo becomes part of a scene, if you know what I mean ?

just to add if it is any use to anybody they keep the photos for 48 hrs so if you have a few differerent sets taken around the park the packs for photos are cheaper the bigger pack you buy,we viewed ours on the day kept the slips for the ones we wanted and then bought them in a bigger pack with photos we had done on the next day also its saves a wee bit of money can't remember how much we saved exactly but it was a lot cheaper than buying individual sets on different days
