I'm new to this site and haven't been to disney in years since 1996. I'm getting married on Oct 4 and we are planning a disney honeymoon. We are going to stay at a moderate resort. I was wondering which one is best for a honeymoon? I was also wondering who should I book my vac through? Any good idea I'm all ears.

Firstly Dreams Unlimited are one of the sponsors of the DIS and they specialise in booking vacations to Disney. If you click on the Dreams Unlimited link above it will take you to their website.

I think most people have a favourite moderate resort and I'll give you my reasonings on my choices:

Port Orleans Riverside (I personally would request Magnolia Buildings, Disney won't guarantee it but they're very pretty buildings) - a very pretty part of the resort, perfect for honeymooners, they do landua rides there too and there is a boat that will take you to Downtown Disney which will give lots of fun nights out for honeymooners - PO French Quarter has that New Orleans feel and that's pretty too :)

Caribbean Beach Resort - Very spacious rooms and quite spread out as a resort. There is a lovely island within the resort that has some great quiet spots.

Coronado Springs - this is used a lot by conventioneers and therefore there should be more adult feel here, personally not my choice for a honeymoon, but I'm sure there are members here who went for honeymoon there and loved it.

Hope hat helps :)

We stayed at POR-alligator bayou this past summer. We had a room on the end-so there are windows on 2 sides and a king bed. It was very nice, quiet our view(standard room) was of woods. The resort is pretty. There are lots of nice paths to walk on, its an easy walk to POFQ and the boat to DTD is very nice , convient too-much better than the bus! I have pictures of our room/grounds if you are interested I will post them>

I going with POFQ or CBR for your stay.

as for booking...if you want someone to do it ALL for you..then go for the one mentioned...but if you want the fun of doing it ALL yourself...call WDW or go to disneyparks online!!!

how exciting!!!!!!

congrats!!!!

wed love to hear about your wedding too!!!:goodvibes

i think pofq is the most romantic of all the moderate resorts! the boat to dtd makes it super convenient to lots of restaurants, clubs, shopping etc!

Hi!

I'm also Disneymooning and I choose the Riverside Magnolia Bend rooms. I was told they are themed and feel like a deluxe resort for the price of a moderate. There is a quiet pool (I believe) and they have romantic carriage rides and the boat rides as a previous poster stated. They have lots of magnolia tress, climbing roses, and amazing gardens and walkways. I was told it feels like your in Gone with the Wind.

We had orignally wanted to stay at the CBR but the main pool is being repaired while on our honeymoon. We though it would be fun to be in Disney but feel like we're down in the carribean. Anywhere you go will be tons of fun! HTH!:flower3:

CONGRATUALTIONS... I am getting married the same day as you. As for hotels I would stay Caribbean Beach Resort. Beautiful Hotel it has very much of a tropical feel.. Good Luck and Happy Planning... Keep us posted on your plans
