I think you can still get a birthday button, but any perks or surprises, if any, will be pure pixie dust.

If you wear a birthday button, you will get lots of smiles and "Happy Birthday!" wishes from cast members. You may get a free Mickey straw or small cupcake.

I was at MK on Oct. 1st for MK's 45th birthday which also happens to be my birthday,I got my birthday button but I was more excited about the 45th anniversary button they were giving out,you can get one of those birthday buttons any day but the 45th button was only there that day,if it lasted that long.

Aside from being told Happy Birthday by the CM's (and maybe a few guests), nothing more to expect.

On rare occasions if they arise you could get a free dessert at dinner or another free small item, but it's not too common

You can get a birthday button at Guest Services. Many people..CMs and other guests alike are likely to wish you Happy Birthday while you're wearing it. Beyond that, don't expect anything. Pixie Dust sometimes comes to those with birthdays, but not all the time. Don't go expecting it

I wore a birthday button for my decade birthday in September and got lots of birthday wishes from CMs and guests alike. Narcoossees gifted me a dessert and I got a cupcake and a card at Crystal Palace. It was all super sweet, but I did always remember that the staff see thousands or even hundreds of thousands of birthdays annually and it was nice to be recognized even a little bit keeping that in mind.

if you wear the button tons of people will say happy birthday that you'll take it off at some point... maybe it'll sway a cm to help you more or someone in the parade will interact with you instead of someone else but overall it's just how you feel. there is sometimes where someone might do something nice like a free desert but peoples experiences have varied on anything like that...

Disney, of course, will be happy to sell you birthday cakes, and treats and things to celebrate with.. They will welcome you with open arms to that really expensive dinner you've finally decided was time to have.

Well, you get to spend your birthday at Disney. I can't think of a better perk.

On my birthday over the years, I have worn a birthday button in WDW. I don't expect free things and I just love hearing a simple "Happy Birthday", which always make my day.

Last year I had a small magical gesture from a CM at DHS, who went over and beyond, she took my sister & I to personally meet sorcerer Mickey before he met any other guests, we were there for 15+ minutes before she allowed anybody in the area.

I also have had free desserts at restaurants, but it doesn't always happen, but magical when it does.

I also have had CMs give me a Mickey Mouse sticker through the entrance of MK & Epcot.

When we stayed at BWI, I told them it was my birthday. In the room was a Happy birthday balloon, along with a card from Mickey. They also stocked the room with several welcome chocolates. So amazing. It was one of the most memorable birthdays.

Definitely wear your button. Magic can happen anywhere.

Most sit down restaurants in the park will give you a standard yellow cupcake with frosting and a candle, if you are wearing your button. A handful do more if a reservation is made on the phone and the cm is told a birthday is being celebrated. The Crystal Palace, at least in the past, puts some glitter on the table and you are given a card that all the characters signed. Anything else is a nice surprise. They can't treat every birthday person to surprises because hundreds of people are wearing a birthday button, or some other celebration button, every day.
