I am fairly new to all of this so bear with me. :)
We leave in 6 days (last minute trip). We want to buy 2 day Park Hopper tickets and Princess Character lunch tickets as well. Here are my questions:

How can I buy these tickets (online) so that they arrive in time for our trip? I am thinking of going thru getawaytoday

Once I have the parkhopper tickets in my hand, do I still have to wait in the ticket line each morning or can I go straight to the turnstyle gates?

Is it too late to make reservations for the character lunch. If not, do I receive paper tickets for these? Will I have to redeem them at DL once we arrive?

Thanks in advance for any advice or info. I am really lost on all of this. Last time we were at DL, we bought our 1 day ticket at the ticket window and didn't attend any character meal.

If you staying at the resort you can buy them when you check in or anytime after that at the front desk. You can go straight through to the gates. Don't buy them at the regular kiosks outside the parks. They tend to be very crowded.
You can still make reservations for dining and you will not get a paper ticket. Make sure that you arrive early though because you may still have to wait a few minutes.

We bought our DL tickets from getawaytoday when we went in March this year. We went to Hawaii and were coming home via LAX, so DH and I decided to treat our DDs to a quick 2-day trip to DL. So a couple of days before we left Hawaii, I called 1-866-FUN-TRIP and ordered our hoppers. They gave me a voucher code (as it was too late to mail me the vouchers). At the DL ticket booth, I gave the CM my voucher code and they issued me our passes. Then off to the turnstiles we went! For the 2nd day, you would go straight to the turnstiles, as you already have your ticket. So easy! Have fun!!!

In addition to the Disney hotels, the majority of off-site hotels sell park hoppers too.

Just as an FYI, buying from Disney online is usually pretty quick. I usually get my tickets 2-3 days. But with this being Friday, I'm not sure they would send anything out until Monday and that would probably be too late.

No tickets for character meals. You just call and try to get reservations. There may or may not be anything left for the princesses. That's usually a fast one to fill up. Call right away, 714-781-3463.

You can also buy tickets at a Disney Store OR I just saw some at our local Winco. So you might try that. I don't know if you still have to go to the ticket window but I would assume not. I would assume if you bought the Disney store or other hoppers that they activate them like a credit card and then you just go to the turnstile and they scan it.

For a character meal just call the Disney Dine number and they can book it. Depending on when and where you are going it may or may not be booked but it is worth a shot. Once you book it they take your name etc and then you just give your name to the CM at the restaurant.

Yeah, most of the surrounding disney hotels, even the offsite hotels, will have the passes. You can get them at the front desk.

Like other have said here, dont get them at the front gates as it is crowded and usually more expensive for some reason.

I got my tix from getawaytoday.com but if you are looking to need them sooner then waiting a few weeks for delivery, you should also call around to your local travel agents as each of them should sell passes. Usually prices vary among agents, so call around to get an idea.

Disney stores you can get them there, but I wouldnt suggest it. SOOOOOOO expensive! Once I went in there and they were even more expensive then gate price. It was rediculous.

Our Vons (aka Safeway) Grocery store sells Park Hopper Gift Cards. 1 Day or 2 Day. They also sell Annual Passes Gift Cards.

You can always get the tickets from disneyland.com and just select the will-call option and pick them up at the park.
