Going to Disney 2nd week in May- anyone find any cheap car rentals? Or anyone have any really good discount codes?

We got a $215 for a mid-size for 8 days from the Alamo site using the insider code and the entertainment book coupon. Normally we like to drop it at the Car Care Center but it was a lot cheaper keeping it for the entire week and returning it to MCO. We like the Magical Express (for luggage, etc) but the difference was $200! I will keep checking, we are going the last week of May.

Keep checking - we've gotten some of the best deals within a few weeks of our trip. We almost always get our rates below $150 for a mid size using entertainment book codes or other public codes. It's become a bit of a game for my DH; we make a reservation when we book our trip, and then it's like a game for him to get the rate down. Sometimes it's only a couple of dollars, sometimes it's substantial, but he's constantly checking as our trip gets closer. Good luck!

You are a little early yet to find the deals. I usually start about two months before my trip. Car rentals, to me, are the biggest pain of the planning process because it's like voodoo finding the cheapest deal, as they seem to change hourly and dramatically depending on what code you use. To take some of the sting out of it....I find a rate I can live with, that I can cancel, and book that, then try to find better deals. My go to sites are hotwire if I am going to priceline something at the airport, (check hotwire's price, then bid lower on priceline), and carrentalsavers.com. Seems those two places have produced the best results for us. Good luck!

I'm headed down the third week of May and couldn't believe how high the rental prices were. I typically use Hotwire and have always been able to get the price down the closer we get but these prices were so high I didn't think they'd come down to acceptable range. Since I'm also visiting people in the Tampa area before we do Disney, I ended up changing the flight so we're flying into Tampa and out of MCO. The rental was half the price which usually isn't the case with one way rentals. Good luck finding a better deal.
