Going to Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica & Universal-IOA & Studios.

I booked a cabana @ Aquatica last week & reserved tickets for Al Capone's dinner theater. We will only be eating out 2 nights for the first 8 days because we have a full kitchen @ our resort so we will be getting groceries to help off-set the cost of some of our other things. The other place we will be eating out @ is Boston Lobster Feast...has anyone been??

I also went ahead & booked a cabana because I have read so many positive things about them. We do plan on being @ Aquatica ALL day & having a child that is disabled, we felt this would be the best way to ensure we had privacy, etc. I am hoping that everything I have read turns out to be true because it costs ~$100:guilty:.

I also started packing today. Since we will be driving over 2 days, we need to have plenty of snacks & activities for the ride:happytv:. We have the DVD ready with a few new movies, plenty of workbooks & crayons/pens/pencils, iPod w/LOTS of apps:cool1:, games, dry erase board & markers.

I am also taking some 'beach' toys for Aquatica & @ the resorts. I always forget these & end up going some where & buying more:eek:. We currently have 4 sets of beach toys so I may even leave the set we take @ Universal when we leave. Plus, I am sure we will need the room for our souvenirs:woohoo:.

Even though my car is only a year old, I took it in last week & got it totally detailed out-having a rowdy 9 yo boy has made for some dirty seats & floors. So the car is now looking & smelling like new & it is time to get it loaded up.

Even though DH & I both have smartphones with GPS, I have packed an 'old school' road atlas just in case we encounter some areas with no signals.

I have packed lots of 'distractions' for DS: pray it all works:worship:. Sometimes long road trips are very difficult for DS due to his Autism but other times he just gets so drawn into himself & has no problems @ all.

We are not a family that has have to have alot of snacks on the road but I have packed some little things like pretzels, M&M's, some bottles of water.

Our first leg of the trip will be broken up into 2 4hr segments: DH, DS & grad will be traveling to Baton Rouge to pick me up. We will eat a late lunch before heading on to Pensacola to stay with family. Doing this makes this first part easy but the next day we plan on getting up & on the road by 5am:rotfl2:. If we ARE able to do this, we should arrive to our resort, Sheraton Vistana, by 2-3ish-leaving us plenty of time to unpack, get groceries, & then swim & play:cool2:.

In a few days, I will load the suitcases & leave the car for DH!

We will be on the road tomorrow afternoon!

I am in Baton Rouge...worrying about all this flooding...& DH, DS & graduate will be heading down to pick me up tomorrow (today) so we can head to FL:cool1:.

Looks like we will have some good weather...one of the reasons that I like traveling to FL in late May. Not too many crowds & the weather is warm enough to enjoy but not to miserable:headache:.

Looking forward to getting checked into Sheraton Vistana Resorts. I will let you know all about it...
