You picked a great time to go. The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is going on at that time and the crowds are very managable and the weather is in the high 70's. The nights might get a little cool, but then again, you could hit a hot spell. Rain is VERY minimul at that time.
We will be there the 2nd to the 7th.
We will be there at Pop during Oct 28-Nov 4. I visited www.wunderground.com (Trip Planner) to check the average temps. Then I also visited www.touringplans.com (Crowd Calendar). With these tools that's how we picked this week to visit.
Level 5 = Peak waits of 45 - 54 minutes ....which I'm curious to see if I even have to wait that long...
during June ( a 10 on the crowd scale) when I went this summer it was a mad house and very hot....I do remmber some lines that where like an hour ( especially at ANimal Kingdom...like the Kilumanjaro SAfari) but we got past passes for those it it was not bad...considering the volume of guests...
but I had many strategies, I got past pass for many rides, we did alot of rides around 2 hours before closing ( alot of people watching fire works then ) left after the crowds, came to the park early.... and we we're in the park all day....never going back to rest at the hotel...
it will be intersing to see how much more laid back we can be this time...considering the timing...
I presume if I add those "strategies" to the equation...it should be even less of a waittime then the number they give...
