Going to be using a scooter at wdw for first time

Hello:

I am going to be using a scooter for the first time, as I am getting a hip replacement in a few months.

I cannot figure out how I go into magic kingdom with this, we will drive over to the parking lot and I will get it out but what do I do about the tram, can these scooters go on a tram or is there a disabled area in all the parks for my hubby to drive to and then I get out and drive it in the parks.

Any tips will greatly help.

The ECV will not go on the tram. Let them know that you have a scooter and they should direct you to closer parking.

Do you have a disabled parking placard? If you do, display it when you drive into the parking area and follow the blue lines to disabled parking lot. You can ride your scooter from that area directly into the park.

If you are renting from an off-site vendor and planning to drive to the parks, make sure you rent one that can be disassembled to fit in the trunk. They are very easy to assemble and disassemble.

If you are staying onsite, you can have a rental scooter delivered to your resort and use Disney busses to get from park to park.

Yes I have a disabled parking permit from Ontario, Canada. Do you think they will let me use that in the wdw parking lots?

I was going to rent one from one of the outside venders, but a neighbour is lending me one, and it is amazing how it comes apart, I will have to get hubby to practice taking it apart before we leave.
Also it is lighter than hubby thought.

Yes you can use it your parking permit just let them cm now and they will point you in the right direction.
