Going to a conference - DDP?

I know this is probably a long shot but I thought I would ask anyway...

I am going to a conference (and staying at) the Grand Floridian in September.

Will I be able to add DDP through MS? Or do I have to be staying on points to use DDP?

You have to book the room with points to have MS add the DDP.

If you had an AP or PAP, you might be able to add the plan through CRO if you booked the room through CRO.

FWIW - I am going to a conference at the Contemporary in September. I decided not to do the DDP because both my breakfast and lunch will be covered on meeting days. You also have to add the DDP for your entire trip if you are staying longer. For me, that would mean several days that I would only need it for dinner at best, and sometimes the lunches are so big that I do not even need dinner, so those would just be wasted days for me. Just a thought.
