My family is flying into Las Vegas and renting a car to drive to LA on the 16th. We are going on my son's birthday :cool1: to DL the 19th. We are surprising him with the Jedi Training Camp which he has no idea even exists he thinks it's only in Florida. We plan on doing the Princess princess: thing with our daughter who plans on dressing in her "Briar Rose" costume. My oldest wants to do the Indiana Jones/Pirate stuff and ride fast rides with his Dad and brother. I hope :faint: to see Jack Sparrow pirate: and I'm sure my hubby wants to run into a princess with Ginger our daughter. You know how little girls can be such chick magnets! I got pictures of my DH kissing Jessie when we were in FL two years ago.:love2: Of course we all want to get our picture with MICKEY AND MINNIE! We are visiting family and don't plan on staying at any hotel. We are visiting DCA on Tuesday and :woohoo: my Favorite SIL  and niece will be there too with there family (We all live here in Bismarck, ND) so I'm trying to talk them into taking me to see the Hollywood Blvd! I hope to get a tan while I'm there too! I go to school online and am so excited to get a vacation! I'm in hyper drive mode to get all my school work done! I know I should be writing an essay now instead of typing this but I need a break every once in a while!

We'll be there the 18th-23rd at the GCH. My DS is not looking forwrd to the drive although it's only 6 hours and we did get the kids DVD players for the van this year. My DD is very excited and asks me everyday "Is it time yet?"

I am hoping they don't shy away from the characters this year. They did last year but I was able to get a picture of my DD with Pooh and Tigger. We have a character Bfast planned at the Plaza inn and the night of Thanksgiving, a dinner planned at Ariels. Last year we spent most of our time in F'land at DL and Bugs life at DCA. I am hoping DS will go on more rides with me this year. He and I are the rides people where my DH and DD are perfectly content eating and people watching.

I am counting down the day. Although I have done tons of planning I am really a spur of the moment person at heart so the waiting is  making me crazy.

We will be there Nov 18-21. My only plan for this trip is to have lunch/dinner at new places... Our first one to hit is the carnation cafe for the potato soup. I have heard that it is really delicious :thumbsup2 . We will be at Hojo's this time and my boys are hoping for warm weather so they can swim in the pool;)

I will be searching for those LGMH people...

Nov 18-23 at the BWPPI. We will also be taking trips to Universal Studios & SeaWorld. It should be a great week.

Checking in to Hojo late Nov 16. We'll be at DL Nov 17-21 before heading to my IL's for Thanksgiving. Luckily the fires were stopped a mile or so from their house, so we have extra stuff to be thankful for this year!

Plans include Ariel's for dinner Sunday for the 2 girls and Goofy's kitchen the 20th for DS's (turning 6) birthday. Nov 21st is a special day for me since it marks 5 years cancer-free! We had to cancel our trip at Christmas 2002 since I was starting chemo, so spending this week at DL is extra special for me!

I'll be there from Nov. 17-21 with our rowdy crew of 8. Along on the journey are: DH, DD (4.5 and 41 inches!!!), DN (7), DN (9), MIL, FIL and DM.

My in laws will be at the DLH, while the other 6 of us will be at the Fairfield using MR points:cheer2:

We tried to get Ariel's for breakfast, but have to go for dinner. Having a party of 8 makes things a bit more difficult. We'll try Minnie's b'fast for the 1st time and will hit the Blue Bayou for lunch.

We haven't done Disney since WDW in April 2006. We told DD that we would wait until she was 40 inches before we went to Disney again. Since she has been to both Disneyland and WDW several times since she was 19 mos old, there's only so much whining for the big kid rides I can take! So, when I saw in July that she was 39 inches, I told my DH that he needed to put in for some vacation time come Thanksgiving! Since then, my DD has been drinking milk and eating her veggies like crazy (cuz that's what momma said would get her to 40!).

So, now she's actually 40.5 and with her shoes on she's 41.5!!

I asked her which "big kid" ride she wanted to do first. But I already knew what she'd say. Ever since 2005, when we visited DLR for a week, we would pull into the Timon lot and she'd say, "Mom, there is a roller coaster in that building and I want to go on it!!" Now, if you can picture a little 2 year old kid pointing to the Tower of Terror, saying that she wants to ride it, you would think there's no way. But here we are 3 weeks out and all she can talk about is the Tower of Terror. My nieces 7 & 9 won't go on it, but she is sooooo ready.

So, if you see 3 little princesses, 2 worn out parents and 3 grandparents(on their ECVs), that's probably us.

I hope to see you all there:)

We're having second thoughts about our planned trip for the Sunday - Tues after Thanksgiving. I really want to see the Christmas decorations up, but we just got back earlier this month. And, that's alot of driving in just a few days, but we don't want the kids out of school any longer. So we aren't sure if we are still going. Plus, it will probably still be crowded on Sunday and maybe into Monday! We are supposed to stay at CCI, but the more I think about it, the more likely we are not to go.

My family and I are driving down after the boys (5 and 11) are out of school on Friday, the 16th. We are staying at the DLH for four nights and then heading back home at some point on Tuesday, the 20th. It will be the 5 year old's first Disneyland trip and we are very, every excited!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Max and I will be there November 19-22... maybe until the 23rd. I am actually thinking of adding the extra day to go down to Carlsbad to go to Legoland because Max is soooooo into Lego. Not sure if I can make that all work out though. My mom and my brother might join us too. We are staying at the DLH on the first night with an AP4 rate, but that rate was blocked out for the week afterwards so we're booked at goood ol' Hojo's for the rest of the trip. At least we'll get to take advantage of EE, we only ever get to do that when we stay onsite because we've got APs.

We are having Thanksgiving dinner at Storyteller's Cafe, other than that we are planning to eat at some places we haven't tried (or at least haven't been to in a long time). One is ESPN Zone - everyone really raves about how good it is but it never sounded appealing to me before. I'm so not into sports... but I think Max will really enjoy playing all of the games. We are also going to have a breakfast at PCH Grill (w/Lilo & Stitch) which we've never done before. I always go to Storyteller's for the breakfast buffet but I'm willing to forego it this once to try the other breakfast - I think Max will like meeting Stitch.

Last year Max got sick on Thanksgiving day, I ended up just wandering through DTD all day while he slept in the stroller - we were supposed to eat at Goofy's Kitchen and he threw up right before we were called to our table. I ended up having an egg salad sandwich from Whitewater Snacks for my TG dinner.

since we got our AP's in September, we have been wanting to get back to the parks ASAP. since kiddos are out of school for the whole week, we decided to actually BRAVE THE CROWDS and head down for a quick trip.

we are driving down on saturday 11/17 after the last soccer game here. we will be in the parks late saturday and then sunday and monday. we drive home on tuesday. this way DH only misses 1 day of work and i only miss 2 and we all get our disney fix.

we are staying at the ramada inn maingate. never stayed here before, but it had the cheapest rate within walking distance since we booked so last minute.

Let me see...

Thanksgiving eve Work.

yes, i know, its really boring Thanksgiving weekend... :P
i hope you do a lot better than me!

We (DW and 2 DD 5 and 8) are flying in from Australia on the 19 Nov and staying 2 days at DL before we head over to WDW for 11 days.

We are planning on doing and seeing most of the attractions at DL not at WDW, although there are less and less these days. As well as trying to get over the jetlag.

We just moved to Los Angeles in February and this will be the first year DH and I will be doing Thanksgiving without family. We were thinking about going to DL or DCA for the day and having lunch or dinner there. Do all the restaurants serve Thanksgiving style meals that day? Is the one in particular we should check out? We need to make the reservations now before they all get booked.

I think at this point you better just call and what or if anything is available. You can see the menu's here...

We'll be visiting at DL on the 19th and 20th. I was hoping it wouldn't be crowded, but I had no idea that some schools now give the kids a whole week off! It will be my family's first visit there and we're really excited. We've got 4 boys ages 5, 4, 2 (almost 3), and 1 1/2. I'm not sure yet where we're going to eat, but I'm considering doing a character meal. So far, the Minnie breakfast sounds good, or maybe dinner at Goofy's. We'll probably stop by DCA on Tuesday, but I think Disneyland might be more fun for my boys. What do you think? So far they're excited about the Bear in the Big Blue House show.:dance3:

We are leaving our house on Thursday the 15th and driving to Philadelphia to spend the night there because our flight leaves very early on Friday morning. We are due to arrive at LAX in the early afternoon. We will be at DLR from 11/16-20, though our flight leaves so late on Tuesday 11/20 that we won't actually be back home in PA until about 9:00 Wednesday morning. We are staying at PP concierge, which I am eager to try out since I've done DLH and GCH before. This will be my 5th trip to DL but our first family trip, previous trips have just been one on one trips with the kids and one trip just me. This will be DH's first ever visit to DL though he is a WDW veteran.

We are planning to go to DCA after we check into PP because I am assuming DL will be a mob scene since that's the very first night of all the holiday stuff. We are going to be pretty tired, too tired to deal with crazy crowds, so we will just check out DCA for a while, get a quick dinner and then try to get to bed early. Saturday we are going to DL bright and early and we will be meeting a friend of mine and her DH and kids who live in Riverside and spending the day with them at the park. Sunday it will just be us again and we are having lunch at the BB, made an 11:30 PS so hopefully we will get a waterside table. Monday we are having breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at the PCH Grill. We don't really have any other definite plans at this point, will probably do counter service for the rest of our meals with breakfasts being in the concierge lounge.

I will have my LGMHPC's attached to my bags with my DIS name on them along with my lime green Baggalini. I hope to spot some other DIS'ers while we are there! :thumbsup2
