Going Solo to The Very Merry Christmas Party!

Hi folks, I am attending a conference and I purchased tickets for the party in November (Tuesday of the week I am in Orlando). I have visited the parks on my own in the past when I'm in the area for work, but more than a dozen trips were with my family and I have never been to this event (I did MNSSHP in 2014). Any thoughts on doing the party solo? Send your best tips or thoughts for planning a strategy to make the most of my night (I'm less about the characters and more about parades and rides)...thanks.

You absolutely want to watch the parade on Main Street. The lights on the building, music, snow, and view of the castle is like a dream. We usually move up the street by Casey's or the ice cream parlor for the fireworks. They say the later parade will be less busy but main street is always busy so pick whatever parade time is better for you! But if you end up loving the parade enough the first time you'll have the option of watching it again We get there about 45 minutes early for the perfect spot. Lines for attractions will be short so you shouldn't have a problem getting on whatever you'd like at any time. Make sure you take advantage of getting into the park at 4pm! Have fun!

I've done my last 6 parties solo.

Find you a good spot on Main St for the parade and settle in. With only you, it's easier to get a spot. For rides, I usually start at Pirates and move clockwise and go around as often as I can. Usually for the fireworks, I find a spot on the hub to sit and rest my aching feet. After fireworks, I hit the rides again.
