Going Saturday, no tickets yet-will call vs. gate for one-day pass

Poor planning on my part, but we didn't order one-day tickets in advance for our MK trip on Saturday. I've tried to find one-day MK passes through Disney Store and my AAA office, with no luck (only sell 3+ days). We'll be arriving at the Orlando airport Friday night at 10pm, so presumably can't get tickets there.

Basically, my question is should we go ahead and buy tickets through Disney's site now to pick up at will-call (and so we can make FP+ reservations now); or will be be faster to buy tickets early that morning at the park at one of the vending machines I've read about? Thanks!

You can order through will-call and link you confirmation up to make your fast pass reservations, but you will still have to go to a ticket window to pick the tickets up.

Time is faster if you just buy them at the window, but then you would not be able to make your fp reservations in advance.

Thanks so much OKWJan! I'll defer to your expert opinion--Do you think the FP+ reservations (at this point I'm not sure if there will still be good slots available) are worth waking up earlier?

I just booked FP+ for the following Wednesday and got decent times (all before noon) for the three mountains.

The only FP+ not available were for 7DMT and FoF parade, there were some for A&E.
