Hi everyone, I am off to Orlando in April with my girlfriend and was wondering if you could help.

I plan to ask my girlfriend the all important question. I am thinking it would be nice for us to go out to a nice romantic not to busy and quiet restaurant.

We are staying onsite at Universal's Cabana Bay but I think it would be nice to perhaps go away from CityWalk and maybe venture out to another place not too far. We do not have a car but would not mind walking a little bit to get to a restaurant.

We are not fussy eaters but somewhere that is not too highly priced, not too busy with nice food and romantic would be a great way to celebrate. We wouldn't even mind staying at CityWalk or one of the other hotels if they are romantic.

Let me know if you have any recommendations,

Thank you for your help in advance!

Ross.

well, the closest offsite restaurants will be on international drive, and that's over one mile away from Universal.
Does walking several miles in the Florida heat, beathing the exhaust fumes from hundreds of cars rate as romantic ?
hey, go for a limo, but that'd probably ruin the big question's "effet de surprise" (pardon my French :p ) (they're quite good at guessing when you use obvious tricks :p )

I would probably go for dinner at Portofino Bay
from CBBR walk to Citywalk, and take a boat to PBH.
if it's dark, the arrival by boat in the lit up bay is already something quite romantic.

you could try Mama Della's It's an italian restaurant with musicians playing from table to table. If that's romantic enough for you (I personnaly can't stand people playing next to me, .... you did say "quiet" ... but I know some people do appreciate that kind of things)

You sold it to me when you mentioned exhaust fumes!! I couldn't think of anything worse than people plying music at the table, my girlfriend would hate me if we went somewhere like that!

I will check out the Portofino restaurant and check the menu out.

Thank you for your insight and recommendation.

Ross.

BiCe is more upscale (think pricey and somewhat POSH) but that's a nice one

You would need a short taxi ride or uber but Melting pot looks lovely for a romatic evening and gets great reviews. There is one very close to Universal. You can make reservations and if you join the email club they send special offers.

If you google restaurant row there are other more upscale restaurants in that area too.
