Going in Oct. Help me plan please!

Hey all. My family is going to WDW in Oct. We are staying at the Poly. We will be spending 4 nights followed by 3 days/nights at Universal. Our kids are 6 (girl) and 8 (boy) What would be the one piece of advice that you would give. Thanks in advance.

At the least figure out what parks you're going to on what days and have ADR's for those days, thats where i start and then build from there.

Weigh your options carefully: some families love hitting parks at rope drop so they can see/do as much as possible, while other families swear by sticking to their kids' regular sleep/activity schedules so as not to deal with unhappy campers later in the day. Decide what's best for your family--maybe a couple of early mornings followed by an afternoon nap or swim or even a single "lazy" day where everyone takes their time and relaxes. Have fun with your planning!

Be sure to check out the Food & Wine Fest at Epcot, especially the concert series. That said, avoid World Showcase on Sat at all costs.
