Ok, I've got the villas, 2 Grand Villas, Got our plane tickets, Got the Park Hopper Passes, making dinner ressies, getting excited!!, but.....
I've never been "Home" in May. April 28-May 5 actually. Whats it like? How are the crowds? Weather?? I take this group Ive known every few years and treat them to the villas, but normally go in September or October. Any feedback?

You're going during the Flower and Garden Festival!:thumbsup2 The displays are beautiful. Like the F & W, it's mostly at Epcot, so EP is a bit more crowded.
The weather can get quite hot (it's Florida in the spring, so there's no telling:confused3 ). Check the Accuweather Orlando site before you go; it's pretty good at giving a general forecast for 15 days. Dress accordingly, drink plenty of water, and have a wonderful time!:goodvibes

Last year was pretty hot.. usually 90-94 during the day.. 70-80's at night. The temperature for us (coming from CT) was kind of hot during the day, as it was such a change from home, but we still loved it. The worst days were when there was no breeze.. or when we were at AK and there is no place for a breeze. Then it was really hot. Went through a whole bottle of sunscreen. Tons and tons of water. We always made it to the pool in the afternoon to cool off and relax.

We had light jackets because we travelled in them from home. I could see you possibly needing one(if the nights may feel cool to you compared to AZ). Though we never wore them. Even when out late at night. It was so warm to us that DD4 wore light dresses when we were out at night. (then she wanted to wear them at home in CT where it was still 50 - yikes!)

As for humidity... yes, it's there. Humidity got pretty high some days. Nights were much more comfortable than days.

FWIW... I have relatives from Phoenix and they would struggle with our summer weather in CT... the temp would be lower in CT but the humidity was up. Their kids would be soaked from the humidity. We thought it was odd -we- didn't get that sweaty as kids..?? As an adult I now understand, especially after going to Houston a couple of times. Now I reallly understand what a change in humidity feels like!

Hope that helps
We'll be there May 3-11 !! :cool1:

Thanks guys, you've all been a good help. I'll dress for Phoenix and just put up with the humidity and I think we'll be just fine. It also looks like we'll be in good company. If we're all going, it cant be that bad. The last time we did this, we arrived between huricane #2 and #3 a couple of years ago. When we planned as far ahead as we did, we took a chance. No disrespect intended for those who did suffer losses, we had the place to ourselves. Looking forward to Ragland Road. Thanks again, see ya there!
