Going From OKW to HRH ..? best way

I am not that familiar with going from WDW resort area to Universal Area. We are staying at Old Key West and will be going to the Hard Rock Hotel early on a Tuesday morning. I am wondering what the best route is--Should I take I-4, if so to what exit?
or Turkey Lake Rd?

I have gone to Citiwalk and we took Palm Pkwy to Turkey lake-not sure if that is the best way -looking to avoid traffic as well as park goers

I-4 East to the Universal exit. I apologize, I do not know the exit number. At the top of the ramp take a left and stay straight, at the 5th traffic light turn left into the Hard Rock Hotel. It is very well marked, you should have no problem.
