Going from CBR to airport on ME to rent a car

Does anyone know if I can take ME to airport to rent a car? The rentals on site are expensive. I am renting a car on our last day at Disney to visit family for a few days then return to Orlando. They told me they need a flight to book the ME back to the airport. We are taking ME to resort the week before.

A flight number (any flight, any airline) will come in handy but you don't need to buy a plane ticket then.

Less confusion and less chance of screwing up your Disneybound trip if you wait until you get there before making this DME reservation back.

You can take the DME bus back to the airport on or before check out day.

You don't really need to be flying out to use DME but some of the CM's don't know how to book you without one.

You can either call DME directly and they can book it for you or just call the regular WDW line and use a flight number that leaves about 3 hours after you want to arrive at the airport.
