I was wondering if anyone has ever had a MRI done because they have " foggy brain" feeling ? For the last two and a half weeks I have walked around in a daze, my brain feels like jello. Never heard of anyone that has this, my doctor said he doesn't know what's wrong with me. Is there anyone who has ever had this feeling?

Not sure how old you are, but it's certainly a possible symptom of peri-menopause.

I woudn't know any different. :)

Actually I felt like this alot while I was pregnant. And last year when I had a sinus infection my doctor mentioned this as one of the symptoms.

Hope you figure out what's going on and get better soon.

I am having am MRI of my brain and neck tomorrow morning but it's because I have been incredibly dizzy.

Which leads to all sorts of comments from my friends. :rolleyes2

"Its about time you got your head examined."

"Oh you've been dizzier then normal?"

Ha ha. Very funny.

My doctor put me on meds a week ago and I actually feel about 90% better. But she wants to be sure about what's going on.

May I please ask you what meds they put you on, and how long have you been like that. If it's to personal just don't answer I'll totally understand.

I'll tell you anything you want to know. ;)

Dramamine for the dizzyness.

Dyazide, which is a blood pressure med, so I'm not really sure what it does for my dizzyness. But my doctor suspects it might be an inner ear issue and apparently this helps that too.

I think it started about three weeks ago. The first few days it was just when I got out of bed. It felt like the room was moving. Like I had too much to drink and had to hold onto the walls. Then last week I was dizzy even during the day. It would come and go. But when it came - WHAM! I felt stoned, lightheaded, dizzy....Whew! It wasn't pretty.

The meds started helping about three days ago. Today I only felt dizzy for a minute twice.

I hope you find whats wrong. The worst is not knowing and wondering about all kinds of things!

ok, thank you, that's alittle different than me, I'm foggy brained, all the time, like I'm in some sort of dream state, so weird, came on all at once and has never left, since.

Just in case you're curious--the dyazide is a diurectic that is used to control blood pressure. Maybe the doctor things if you "shed water" it will release pressure in you inner ear.

Yes, I figured that out when I dropped four pounds in two days and took 847 trips to the ladies room!

No ideas for you, but sure wishing you well. I know what it's like not to know what is going on.
