going Dec. 13--when should I book?

Hi---I'm a newbie---just found this forum this week! WOW!! This is great. I was just curious if I should go ahead and book my trip now or wait and hope they offer a discount? Also, when do you think Disney will update their website to include more details about everything Christmas related. I need more details!!! Thanks for any information and suggestions. I love this forum!

Welcome to the DIS

We have been booked since Jan.

Dec is a very busy time but around X-mas it gets just crazy.Better to book ahead and if needed to cancel and rebook if avail at a discount.

They have some stuff up but you can get more here on the DIS or at ALLEARSnet.com and Mousesavers for current discounts avail.

Good luck we have our MVMCP tickets and our ADR's booked all we need now is SW to open our dates and we're done.

We are going Dec 13th- 17th. Already have ADR for Chef Mickey and already gotten our MVMCP tickets since they do limit the amount of people who can attend. We also booked our hotel. We will be staying off site at Holiday Villas. I am waiting on my park tickets since there is really no discounts right now to just get park tickets. I suggest the sonner the better.

It may be to late. I would pick your resort now, and book it! Look for a special discount code as time draws near and make the changes then. Good luck.

Actually in the 2006 Unofficial Guide it says that after TG through the week before x-mas are slow times, so you may be OK with getting a room. BOOK NOW

We go about the same time you go every year. Every year I have booked in late August when AP discounts came out. I have never had any trouble getting what I wanted. OF course it may change and people may be booking earlier so it never hurts to book early.

Thanks for everyone's input. I called today and had no problem. The CM said I could change later if a discount does come out. We will be staying at Coronado Springs. I am soooooo excited about going at this time of year.
