Newbie to this site!
Hi there, I am a teen going to Disney with my family this year for a birthday since the last time we went was back in 2010. And I was wondering if I could get tips on what rides to ride while I’m there. The parks we will be going to are Magic kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. For a little background knowledge I am not a huge fan of roller coasters with big drops as heights aren’t really my thing. From what I recall from last time I rode Hainted Mansion, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, as well as Its a small world were fine because I don’t remember them having big drops going upside down etc.
Thanks in advance for advice.

I'll make a list of what to stay away from all together / potential rides that might have issues, it'll be easier.

Stay away from:
MK -
Roller coasters: Space Mountain (drops)
Other: Astro Orbiter (height issue)
AK -
Roller coasters: Expedition Everest (drops / goes backwards)
Simulator: Flight of Passage (height issue)
Epcot -
Simulator: Soarin' (heights issue)

Potential rides that might have issues:
MK -
Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarf Mine Train, Barnstormer
(all roller coasters, but with low drops)
AK -
Primeval Whirl (roller coaster with low drops)
(Might want to watch these on YT to get your opinion)

Also, just a bit of a personal opinion, I wouldn't ride Dinosaur, because it's the most aggressive simulator I been on and only been on once, because it was not that amusing in the first place and I felt physically hurt getting off of it.

I strongly suggest giving the "potentials" a chance, as it's hard enough you can't go on some of the ones I labeled as "stay away" as they're amazing rides.

Thanks I definitely will watch videos to get a feel for how they are...I am unfamiliar with most of the rides and their names so I wasn’t sure what to look up in terms of being specific.

The PP had a good list to avoid, one other is splash mountain, that has a good drop at the end that you may not like. I also second the YouTube videos. They are great and I’ve been showing them to my DD... all except the one we watched for space mountain, go figure a coaster in complete dark and you can’t see a thing on the video :)

I'm also a giant roller coaster wuss and I love Disney because most of their rides I can ride without freaking out! I love Big Thunder Mountain, because it's a roller coaster and gets a roller coaster "feel" without ever having a huge drop. I hate drops. Space Mountain used to be a favorite when I was young and stupid, but now it makes me a little queasy, but can be managed because it's my wife's favorite. I would give FoP a try -- I'm terrified of heights (trembling knees and sweat on anything over 15 feet) and it didn't hit that spot for me; I think because my brain put it in "simulator". Just look at the screen and not down at the "theaters" below you.

Astro orbitor was scary for me and I will not do it again. Splash mountain has a drop at the end but if you can handle 1 drop the ride is worth it. (It has a couple little ones in it too but nothing bad) seven dwarfs mine train and big thunder mountain railroad are fast and go in circles a lot but no big drops. I have height issues and have no problems with sorin or flights of passage and they are both my favorite rides. Frozen ever after would be a good ride for you. I would stay away from expedition Everest and primeval whirl but dinosaur, although rough, is still fun!! Hope you have a really good time
