Just wanted to share the news that we have managed to fit in another DVC visit

We first visited in January of this year and had a blast (our first time on WDW property). With a March use year we were hoping to fit in something towards the end of this year and have actually managed it :woohoo:

Going out on 4 November (the day of the US Presidential election!!) with Globespan from Glasgow. Decided to give them a try as the 2/3 hour wait at Gatwick on return is really killing us - ok, ok, it's an age thing ;) Seem to get mixed reviews about Globespan but any other comments would be great.

Although AKV is our home resort, we are happy to wait until it is fully operational before trying for a reservation. This time, back to SSR and finishing off at OKW. In between, we are heading to a beachfront apartment in Treasure Island. (Sunsets and long, cold drinks :beach: )

Got a good price for car rental direct with Alamo and our APs and DDE cards are still valid. Really glad we took the decision to buy into DVC - shame we didn't do it a few years earlier.

Excellent news:thumbsup2

I would be interested to know how you find Globespan. I don't mind the wait at Gatwick going, when you return home the last thing I want to do is hang about Gatwick to fly to Glasgow.

We'll be there at the same time and also staying at SSR. :thumbsup2

Fantastic news Callum.

I'm also interested in how you find Globespan. We usually use Gatwick but hate the journey home so we're trying Manchester next June when we make our first trip home to AKV. :cool1:

KayleeUK & UKDEB - see you there, then! What do I look out for - lime green Mickey heads (you know, the first time I read of this I visualised DISers walking around WDW actually wearing these heads  ) or strategically placed lime green ribbons. BTW we asked for a Congress Park studio at SSR because of the proximity to DTD - what about you??

I'll certainly report back on Globespan. We also considered Continental from both Glasgow & Edinburgh (we live between the 2 airports) or Delta from Edinburgh. OK, you still have a change in New York but, on the return leg, at least you are still in the same time zone and it happens before the overnighter back into the UK.
