Going back to WDW for Liam's 9th Birthday! 5/29-6/3 WE ARE BACK!!!

For my trivia lovers out there, the answer is

a.) Fender Stratocaster

Guest line up in the shadows of a 40-foot tall, red Fender Stratocaster outside the Rock'n'Roller Coaster. The Stratocaster is exact in almost every detail, except that it's gigantic---15 times normal size, fiving it a 32-foot-long neck.

I can't believe that we are only 19 days away!!!:yay::woohoo: It seemed just yesterday when we still had over 100 days. Time is really flying now. I must admite it is a lot easier to pack for myself and one kid. So much more to bring with three kids (last one still in diapers) when we went last time.

With things so busy here, I will again go ahead and list the next question. I have decided to give everyone a little more time to answer the question (if you have not noticed.) Lidian has honored me by barrowing my idea and giving it a twist. I honor her by borrowing one of her ideas and give you all a little more time.:thumbsup2

Female "gangsters" weren't seen on The Great Movie Ride until _______?

a.) 1990
b.) 1995
c.) 2000
d.) 2003

Did You Know?

In Disney's Hollywood Studio's Backlot Tour, the air cannons used to shoot the water in Catastrophe Canyon are so powerful that they could blast a basketball over the Empire State Building. In fact, the jets shoot out enough water to fill 10 Olympic-size swimming pools in just a few seconds.

Things kind of crazy around here the last couple of days. I am trying to get everything ready for the trip and am very happy that things seem to be coming together. Unfortunatly when I got home from my walk on Saturday Mia was in her room. This is very unlike her unless she is mad at someone. When I checked on her she was burning up. Her temp was 103.7.:scared1: Of course I gave her some tylonol and waited to see what happened. It went down and she was complaining about nothing else besides a stomach ache. It did go up two more times but was fine yesterday.

In the clear, right? WRONG!!! Aidan climbed into my lap early this morning and was very warm. I tried to take him temp and he would have nothing of it. So I sent him to his room to rest, I checked on him later and he was fast asleep. I was finally able to check is temp under his armpit and it was 101.7 so with the increase you give the underarm temp, he was 102.7.

He wouldn't take any medicine so I have just been keeping an eye on him. His temp has come down and he seems more active so hopefully this will be the end of it.:confused3

Well anyway, things are beautiful in Northern Illinois so I am hoping that all temps are normal and we can take a nice walk to the park when the older kids get back from school. It has really sucks that it is 80 degrees outside and we are stuck inside.

You guys only have lots of time on my trivia because I'm lazy. :lmao::rotfl2:

I'll go with D) 2003. :confused3

Sorry that a bug is going around and your little ones haven't been well. I hope it gets out of the household quick so you have plenty of time to recover before WDW. I know it will be rough leaving a sick one behind ... so hoping it goes away!

BUT THE TEENS ARE AWESOME!!!! I just got out of the teens, but not quite to single digits yet. I'm in the preteens I suppose. :lmao:

I'm a bit jealous you're only having to pack for yourself and Liam. lol I am struggling packing for both kids, especially since they don't know! They keep asking me where certain clothes are. :rolleyes1

I don't know how much more of this I can take! :lmao:

I'll guess c on this one,

hope the kiddos are feeling fine by now.

I'll guess C on this trivia question. Another ride I've never been on, or seen! :rotfl: I am starting to wonder if I slept through most of our last trip and missed over half of Disney!:rotfl2:
Congrats on being in the teens now!!:woohoo: Time will got faster the closer you get.
I hope your little ones shake their illness and are feeling lots better by the time you have to leave, also that neither you nor Liam end up with anything.:goodvibes
It's still cold and rainy here, I'm hoping if we ever get some nice weather we'll be able to go out and enjoy it and not be sick from all this cold and dampness!

my guess is 95.

p.s. i finally transfer the cell min's and my number is the same. feel free to bored txt me again! :lmao:

I'm gonna guess 1995, because I find it hard to believe that they would have only had male CM's on that ride up until that point...:confused3

Sorry to hear yet another bug has been going around, but hopefully this will be the last of them!

I wish we could get some sun, let alone warmer temperatures...it's been raining here for the past 3 weeks solid :scared1: Seriously, out of the past 3 weeks we have had one day of sun, and one half day of sun. And the warmest it's been is about 55 or 60 :sad2: I can't stress how much I'm looking forward to the Florida sunshine...and at this point I'm beginning to wonder if that's going to be the first real sun I will have seen in over a month and a half. We're in the teens! :woohoo:

/
my guess is A, just to be different ;)

I really need to start organizing all our stuff. I'm hoping my ILs will take the girls for a night inbetween now and then because it's SO hard to try to do anything with all their "help", forget trying to get things organized and in a suitcase!

So things have been chugging along and I am getting real anxious about our trip.

Unfortunatly life has decided to catch up with me. I found out last night that my brother was on the way to the hospital. I guess his acid levels are off and has to start dialasis (it has nothing to do with his kidneys) and will be there for a couple of days. Luckily he will be able to stop doing dialisis in a couple of months. My first concern of course was my brother but I know you will all understand when I admite that I was a little worried the call to be a kidney donor would happen now and how that would affect our trip. I know I am a horrible person.:lmao:

I am also getting very fustrated by the fact that the Visa card I got as a reimbersment for Liam's drug study doesn't have any money on it yet. I know it said 1-3 weeks but I am getting concerned that it will not be on the card in time for the trip. I don't know what I will do if it isn't on there for the trip, that is my money for Disney. I am hoping that I am just over stressing about it.

Everything else is alright, no fevers today which is good.:thumbsup2

Oh one more thing, yesterday when Liam was doing his breathing treatment he went to play his DSi and it wasn't working. It wasn't reading the game right. The day before his younger brother put a stylus into the game loading area and bent some of the metal conectors. I was very upset because this is the DS I bought for myself when I was pregnant. I let Liam use it because he droped his old one and the lower screen break. I have since bought myself a pink used one that Mia plays often. After trying to bend the conectors back (not working) I opened it up and started seeing what I could do. I ended up bending back the metal that covered the connectors so I could use tweezers to bend them back to wear they belonged. Good news is that I got it to work.:yay: I have told Liam that we need to keep the DS's up when he was at school so his brother couldn't get at it.

That's great that the fevers are gone and that you were able to fix the DS:thumbsup2
Sorry to hear about your brother, but glad that he will be able to stop the dialysis in a couple of months :)
Keep thinking positive where the card is concerned, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the money will be on it before you leave for your trip (although it's tricky to type with your fingers crossed:rotfl:)

:lmao::lmao:How funny.

I pick 2000 for the trivia

Wow! Very stressful that your brother has to go through dialysis, but also promising news that he get to come off of it in a few months.

:goodvibes:goodvibes Here is to hoping that your Visa card soon gets some $$$ on it and in time for vacation!

Glad to hear that no one is running a fever today! :thumbsup2
And I also wanted to say Hooray! that Liam's lung functions are improving! That is wonderful news!!!

Whooohoooo! Corinne! You are a handy gal, aren't you??? Great job on fixing the DSi. Now I know who to call when something breaks around here. :lmao:

I just tossed mine and DD's DS's in the mail for you to fix. :thumbsup2 She's done something to both, and they just say "no game inserted" or whatever. :sad2: DH thinks she's bent the prongs - sounds like we have the same issue you have.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Hopefully he'll improve quicker than planned. :thumbsup2

And I'm sure that you'll get your money on the Visa in time. Fingers are crossed that someone fell asleep at the keyboard and hasn't pushed the button to finalize the transaction. I'll invest in a fog horn for you. :goodvibes

Glad to hear your house is fever-free!

yeah for no fevers and for being so handy.

sending good wishes for your brother

I just found this little gem of information when I was looking into what the refillable mugs looked like. According to this information the mugs are no longer just refillable during the duration of your stay, but for the the life of the mug. Great new for us penny pinchers.:thumbsup2

Here is a link.
http://www.disunplugged.com/2011/04/01/walt-disney-world-refillable-mugs-now-good-for-life/

Hope you find it informational.

:lmao: I was wondering if people would still be finding the apirl fools joke and passing it along. :rotfl:

well, i admit i was nearly taken when i first read it too, but i knew better. :confused3

I probably wouldn't have believed it if I saw it on April 1st, but I wasn't thinking of it in May. Didn't see the Happy April Fools day after the pictures until after I read your post.:headache: Just call me nieve.:lmao:

So I just got back from walking the mall with Liam (had thunderstorms here). I had been given an energy armor braclet for mothers day and stopped by the both to ask some questions. (wanted to know if it helped with motion sickness) We started talking about WDW and found out he used to live in Florida. We told him that are only other trip was for Liam's wish trip in which Liam announced that he had Cystic Fibrosis. Liam wanted one so bad but I told him that I didn't have the money to buy him on ($30). The man pulled one out of a bag and had Liam try it on. He then asked him how it felt and when Liam replied "good", he gave it to him.:lmao: He just to tell him how he feels the next time he saw him. I think he did it for a previous Wish kid, but Liam announced that he did it because mommy is poor.:lmao::lmao:

My mom know wants Liam to go with her so he can score her a "free sample" too.:rotfl2:
