Going back to WDW for Liam's 9th Birthday! 5/29-6/3 WE ARE BACK!!!

Several of the DIS Zeta girls have volunteered at GKTW!

You will love Pop! We are staying there the week before you! I requested either the Big Wheel section or the Big Mickey phone section, and first floor or near an elevator.

I am loving that the Dis Zeta girls have volunteered at GKTW, some day I will pay it foward and will volunteer there too.:thumbsup2

I have heard so many great things about Pop and I can't wait. We are staying with the Kids Stay and Play for free special so at first there was nothing available but when I rechecked later a prefered room had opened up and I pounced on it. (Or at least I waited till first thing in the morning to snatch it:lmao:) I am glad it is a prefered room so that we get as close to the bus stop as possible, less tiering for Liam. Any suggestions on what I should request and how (like I said no experiance at a Disney Resort yet:sad2:) to go about this? TIA

Answer to the last trivia question:

c.) 1.2 miles tall

If Spaceship Earth were a golf ball, the golfer would have to stand about 1.2 miles high and the hole would be about 417 feet in deameter to be in proportion to the ball. Instead of hitting the ball, say, 200 yards to sink it, our giant golfer would be sending it nearly 134 miles --approximatly the width of Florida. FORE!!!

I think they changed the preferred rooms to include more areas than when we stayed in preferred. If you haven't already I would look at Robo's map. I had asked not to be pool side because of the noise, but it would be so convenient to be near the theme pool.

In the morning there is an opening pool ceremony. It's nothing elaborate like CSR's, but it is cute.

I don't think they have movie night at Pop like they do at All Star resorts, but you can always check out the movie schedule and go to any of the WDW resort's movies. Ask at the front desk when you check in.

Who you can call to request is room? You have two choices. You can either call disabilities or you can call Disney reservations and have it marked on your resie.

I'm heading out the door, but I can look up those numbers later tonight.

Here is the next trivia question:

What was used as an insperation for the ride system in Soarin'?

a.) A child's Erector set
b.) A flight training simulator
c.) An Imagineer's love of hang gliding
d.) A ride an Imagineer saw as a child in Coney Island, New York

Did You Know?

The elaborate, 134-foot long mural at the entrance to the Land Pavilion is made up of over 150,000 individual tiles. It represents the layers of the Earth's rich soil made from glass, slate, granite, gold, and marble. The two sides of the mural are exactly alike, except for one emerald green tile on the right hand mural, placed there by the artist (representing her birthstone) as her "signature."

Pretty sure I heard that it was A) a child's Erector set. My DH has an old set sitting on a shelf in his closet that I've been trying to get him to let me put on ebay but he won't budge.

Awww Shucks! I wanted to be first on this one, but my password was acting up. :lmao:

Definitely pick A.) Created from child's erector set I saw that on one of the behind the scenes at WDW shows or something.

As for the trivia on why you are making cupcakes. I choose Disney Movie Night or maybe a birthday???? I definitely choose Disney Movie Night which is my final answer. :rotfl:

Okay, back to preparing for my GS mtg. tonight!

OOHHH!!! Cupcakes!! :lmao: I have to make cupcakes for Alek's birthday tomorrow. Just doing a small "us" celebration and his party Sat. with the family! Almost 1 month mark!! WHOO HOO!!!! LOL

For those of you who guys who guessed that we were having a Disney Movie Night You were RIGHT!!!:yay:

Tonight we are watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
So I decided to barrow one on my DISfriends partial idea and make some themed cupcakes.
What do you think?

I saw them in the Disney Fun Magazine and had to do them. The directions on how to do them is also on the website.:thumbsup2
We didn't do much else but watch the movie because I don't want to rub everyone's face in the fact that they are not going to Disney.:confused3

That's so sweet of you to make cupcakes for me! But you don't have to wait to tell everyone else that they're mine. I don't care if they get jealous. ;)
