Going back to WDW for Liam's 9th Birthday! 5/29-6/3 WE ARE BACK!!!

the answer to that trivia question is actually e) way too fast for me!:rotfl2:

It's stayed pretty cold here, but thankfully no snow.

We ate supper at Chef Mickey's on our last trip and we didn't really care for the too much, except for ds who claims it was his favorite place to eat....I think that had more to do with it being his birthday rather than him loving the food:rotfl: However, we booked a breakfast there for this trip, we love the character interaction there and figured we'd try the breakfast this time :)

Here is Question #9.

Hopefully you don't find it to easy Lidian.:lmao::rotfl2:

Approximately how fast do the rockets on the Space Mountain roller coaster go?

a.) 15 mph
b.) 28 mph
c.) 55 mph
d.) "Faster than the speed of light"

Did You Know?

The entire flume system on Splash Mountain can be drained in 5 minutes and totally refilled in just over 20.

I'm thinking B) 28MPH. I could have swore I read somewhere it was around 30MPH, but felt faster due to darkness and some effects WDW uses. But maybe its C) 55.

I'm sticking with my original guess though, because I really do think it was about 30MPH. So B. Final answer.

guys... it's a rocket. The answer is obviously "d" The Speed of Light! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, Corrine! Snow?!? In the middle of April?!? At least it's melting and you'll be in sunny Florida before you know it ;) Rylan is absolutely adorable! As far as the trivia, I'm also going to say "B" 28mph, but that is just a guess. I'm curious about the answer and I'm loving this trivia idea of yours! So much fun!

Thanks every one for your kind words, I am glad that you are all enjoying the trivia questions. It is really helping the time go quickly.

40 days till we are at Walt Disney World!!!

So here is the answer to yesterdays trivia question:

b.) 28 mph

While many people believe that Space Mountain is the fastest ride in WDW, it isn't even close. It travels at a top speed of about 28 miles per hour, while Epcot's Test Track reaches speeds of up to 65 mph. Space Mountain isn't even the fastest ride in the MK. Big Thunder Montain Railroad averages 30 mph (with a top speed of 33 mph) and Splash Mountain's 87-foot drop takes you up to speeds of 40 mph! The Disneyland Paris Space Mountain, however, tops out at about 43.5 mph.

and another fact is, Batman at Six flags great america reaches 55 mph's and that is what 'feel' I was basing it on. :confused3

I had to get Liam from school today. They called me to tell me that he was coughing a lot more than normal and had a small temprature (99.3) I am becoming very concerned. About 2 months ago he had lost weight and his lung functions were down. He was put on antibiotics because of it. He had gained back the weight but the lung functions were still down. He was put back on another two week course of antibiotics. Two weeks ago he had lost a little bit of weight, his lung functions were still down, and he was coughing alot. He was put on another antibiotic. It wasn't any better the first couple of days, but finally the coughing was getting better. Yesterday was his last day of antibiotics and today he is coughing a lot.:scared1: Hopefully we can get it figured out tomarrow when we go to the doctor. Luckily he already had an appointment for the study drug.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear Liam is struggling with this cough. :( Hopefully one of the doctors can get him squared away and he'll feel better in no time! Keep us posted on how he's doing and what the doctor(s) say!!!

Thanks Lidian. I know that Dr B said that there was still some options if these antibiotics didn't work, so I am really hoping that what ever that option is will work out. My main concern is that if they can't get his cough under control or that his lung functions are still down that he might end up in the hospital so they can play with what drugs he needs. It doesn't help that his sputum cultures have come back positve for MRSA which can be very resistant to drugs. Just hoping we can figure it out and get him better by Disney time.:thumbsup2

Here is Trivia Question #10:

How many different songs play in the background of Cinderell'a Golden Carrousel? (yes I know the name has changed, the book was copyrighted in 2006.:thumbsup2)

a.) 6
b.) 16
c.) 26
d.) 36

Did You Know?

Cinderella's Castle was inspired by a number of European Castles, including Chenonceau in France. But unlike that sixteenth-century chateau, Cinderella's Castle was built with 600 tons of steel and not a single stone.

You know ... I have no clue how many songs play on the carrousel. I've seen it, but never rode it - and never hung around to hear that there was more than one song.

So..... let's go for a guess!

B. 16

Now, let's see how wrong I am. And you have to list them all or I won't believe you. :lmao::rotfl2:

my guess is a) 6

and of course I am praying for Liam to get well enough soon. Don't want anything to mess with our trips!

:goodvibes I hope they are able to figure things out and find an option that works for him....all within the 40day mark ;) Take care.

I finally have an entire day off so I got caught up on your PTR! I hope the Dr gets Liam all better fast!!!

I can't believe I've been missing out on the trivia questions! How fun!
My guess for question 10.......I'll do the old test taking tip, when in doubt, go for C!!! So my guess is C) 26

I hope that the doctors can figure out what is going on with Liam. Tell him to get well quickly! Star Wars weekends are waiting!:grouphug:

Currently at the doctors office, hopefully we will be able to leave soon because Liam is eating his healthy McD's meal right now.:lmao: I will be back later with the answer to the trivia question and the new one later. And yes Lidian, the answer will have all the songs listed in it.:lmao:

Liam is going to be starting a new antibiotic for MRSA infections so keep your fingers crossed that this one will work.:thumbsup2 His enzymes have also been increased from 2 to 3 with meals. I also got all the docotors notes that I may need, hopefully smooth sailing from here to Disney World.:cool1:

In are 30's now.

Hope Liam is feeling better and the new treatment works against the MRSA. That is a nasty little bacteria!
