Going back to WDW for Liam's 9th Birthday! 5/29-6/3 WE ARE BACK!!!

So I might have some good new to report.

I was with a girlfriend at McDonalds the other day. She loves my idea of taking the kids one at a time for a special trip and might take one of her DD with us when we go in 2013!:thumbsup2

I've been busy trying to come up with a plan to present to her. It has current prices for POP, CBR, and CSR. It also has prices if there is free dining, or % off in case of a PIN or special promotion. (Really hoping for FD) I have also come up with an idea for dining reservations they might like to try.

Crystal Palace- Breakfast
Garden Grill- Dinner
Tusker House- Breakfast
Boma- Dinner
1600 Park Fare- Dinner
Akershus- Lunch/ Dinner???
Can't decide on Chef Mickey's or Ohana for breakfast the last day??

What do you think?

GIRLS don't make you call your Father!!!!!

But .... but ... she started it. :sad1:

:lmao:

Okay, now you sound like me! I've been working up similar stuff for DS's PK teacher.

I think your possible ADRs look really good! It's really hard to say on the last day breakfast. We are not Stitch fans, so we'd pick Chef Mickey from your options based on elimination. However, I didn't care for the food at Chef Mickey (dinner), and if it was based on food, I'd think O'Hana would be better.

If you're paying OOP, I'd recommend Akershus Lunch (or breakfast) since prices will probably be cheaper. If you're on DDP, I'd take whatever is available. :thumbsup2

:p :rolleyes1 (Hehe)

Okay, now you sound like me! I guess there are worse things.:lmao::hug: I've been working up similar stuff for DS's PK teacher.

As of right now I am planning on 8 ADR's with only seven slots with the DP. There are some I have been wantint to try like: Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare, and Tusker House. I don't know if we will pay OOP for one or just cut one. If we cut one it will probably be Akershus because I will have already done it twice at that point. If she doesn't mind paying OOP for something I will chose the cheapest one to do it for.:thumbsup2

I was picking Character meals because it will be there first trip to WDW (has been to DL) so I think character meals are great for meeting them. That is why I was thinking Chef Mickey's or Ohana for breakfast. I really want to do Ohana's but they might really want to see the Fab 5.:confused3

It seems as if I realy stumped you with this one.:lmao:

The answer to trivia question #5 is:

d.) Little Leota

The little ghost at the end of the ride who beckons you to "hurry back" is known as "Little Leota." The ghost is a small doll propped on the ledge of a crypt, dressed in a flowing wedding gown. Her talking face is actually projected onto the doll from a hidden projector. The face and voice of Little Leota is that of late Leota Thomas (whose maiden name was, ironically, Toombs), a former Disney artist. The imagineers asked her to stand-in just to test the effect but than decided to keep her performance in the final version of the attraction. (The face of Madame Leota, the character in the crystal ball, was also provided by Leota Thomas.)

Oh, that would be so much fun to go to WDW with friends! The ADRs look great and based on what you stated above, I'd go for 'Ohana breakfast rather than Chef Mickey. You're doing Tusker House and Garden Grill, so between those 2 meals, you all would've seen the Fab Five already :thumbsup2

Good to hear. I liked Chef Mickey's, but realy want to try ohana's. I think I am going to make this the plan even if she decides not to come. I want to follow in your footsteps and eat in two parks before they open.:cool1:

Mooooooooooom! She stuck her tongue out at me!

Do they have anything like Chef Mickey's at DL? If so, maybe you should aim for O'Hana. And I agree that character meals are perfect for first trips and making sure you get good character interactions! :thumbsup2

And I'd do the same thing, if you decide to do an OOP one, I'd go for the cheapest one. I really want to do a character meal this year ... but DH tolerates going to WDW, so I don't push it. He does LOVE the food, so I try to pick places he'd like since he's gracing us with the funds and his presence to go. If we get a longer trip in the future, I will throw in a character meal or two and 1900 PF and Garden Grill are the 2 at the top of my list for DD and DS.

If we have to move the trip to October, DH has stated he wants to be surprised with the ADRs. What he doesn't know won't hurt him, right? :lmao:

Wow ... I was wrong. :sad1:

I'll get the next one though! Can't keep me down forever. :snooty:

I agree, what he doesn't know won't hurt him. Maybe if the food is good enough for him than he will ignore the fact that Chip and Dale are behind him. Plus how cool is it to be in a resturaunt that spins.:thumbsup2

If not, I guess we will just have to sneak away for a all girls trip and get you into a couple of those character meal. It's alright to have grown women go see the characters right. :confused3 :lmao:

So here we have Trivia Question #6.

According to the crypt outside the exit to The Haunted Mansion, which of Bluebeard's wives "did him in"?

a.) Penelope
b.) Lucretia
c.) Eugenia
d.) Abigail

There you are. Hopefully you all have better luck with this one, and I promise this will be the last question about The Haunted Mansion.:hmghost:

Did You Know?

The horse-shaped hitching posts on Main Street, U.S.A. are scraped and repainted twice a month!

Subbing in! :thumbsup2

I got very teary eyed reading post #138...a good friend of mine had CF, and reading about Liam brought back memories. You were so wise to continue to fight for tests...and very brave! I think it's great about the success of the study drug, I'll cross my fingers that it continues to work well!

I've enjoyed all your pics...are you getting excited now?! Less than 45 days away! :woohoo:

I won't answer because I cheated :lmao: But I'm glad I did because Google took me to a neat site with lots of info on The Haunted Mansion that I didn't know!

:welcome:silverhaze269, I am glad to see you joined us. I am sorry to hear about your friend and am very lucky that there are such good drugs out there and have helped Liam so much. I don't know where we would have been if Dr. B didn't believe. I thank god for him every day.
I am soooooo Excited. 44 days and counting, and for you even less.:woohoo:

I'm totally game for an all mom's trip! I have no issues eating with princesses, or any character. :thumbsup2

I have a feeling that I won't. :lmao:

Corrine, if you haven't seen the wiki for HM, check it out. It's really neat!

Here is the answer to #6. I'll try to make the next one easier.:sad2:

b.) Lucretia

You'll find the names of Bluebeard's seven wives on a memorial as you exit The Haunted Mansion. They are Lucretia, who "did him in" in 1440,and her predecessors: Penelope, Abigail, Anastasia, Prudence, Phoebe, and Eugenia. The six were laid to rest between 1434 and 1439.
