Going Back to School

If all goes well I'll be going back to college in January.Is there anything I need to do before then(plus I'll be a non traditional so any advice or support will help)

You might want to stock up now on some supplies. I had some non-traditional (over age 25) classmates when I was at UMBC---in fact there was a special office in student relations to handle them in various situations/aid.

I'll be 25 when I go back since my b-day is at the end of the month

I just realized that . You will be fine. I wish I would be going back soon for like a teaching or a nursing degree.

I'm going either to junior college to get some cores out of the way(then transfer to a 4 year school) or tech school for computer studies(or maybe the same as JC)

I went to community college, got an AA in General Studies, and then transferred to UMBC.

I had enjoyed both levels, but I preferred the foreign language program at UMBC better because of its additional set lab hours every week with at least 1 native langauge speaker teaching, in my case--my first year French. I think I got more out of English classes at the community college than my sister did at the regular university level. You can test the waters for a semester or two easier at a community college level.

I may be going back that way depending on the money factor(1 or 2 classes this spring and full time come fall)
