Going back to our 'happy place" w/pics link to my trip report( 9/7)

we did it in may. we only saw one tiger and it was really pretty. the bats are pretty cool too. it was late and the day and we were tired, so maybe that's why we didn't enjoy it as much as the gorilla trail.

that's what my husband said about me! ;)
Are the bats on the same trail as the Tigers?? I would need to warn Peyton.Though it would probably be more fun NOT to warn him...:rolleyes1
omg- i cannot believe you are packing already...:scared1:

you do know that if it weren't for your OCD my disney trips would really stink:lmao:

I did NOT say I was packing.:upsidedow Making packing lists may lead to packing....we will see.If you don't make lists how will you know what to buy???

I aim to please.:surfweb:

yes, they are the on same trail. there's a bypass to the bats so you can skip them if you want (or members of your party can skip them). i think they freak a lot of people out! but they were pretty cool to watch.

Hi Amy!

Great report so far. You have a beautiful family, extended members included!

Can't wait to read more, keep it coming!

Amy, I hope I can ask a silly question. Why are you putting the kids' clothes in ziploc bags? :confused3 I know it's probably due to some fantastic room saving trick that I am totally missing! ;)

I think your must do list is good except for SPlash Mt. And your packing lists made me nervous as I don't have any yet and we leave the day after you. I just can't do it yet. Too much reality in a packing list. I'm still in daydreaming mode.

That little Rachel is CUTE with a capital C. She looks like trouble, that one. And the ones that look like trouble are always my favorites. I'm a sucker for a feisty temperment.

I love silly questions!!;) I put each outfit in a gallon ,or quart for Rachel, ziploc bag and it makes things sooo easy. Some people even put socks and hairbows in the bag. Each morning I throw a bag to the child and there is no discussion on what they need to wear.I also label them so that the days they have matching outfits it is all kept straight.I can get alot more in the suitcases. The best part is on the last day I am not left with shorts and shirts that don't match.I got the idea from here on the boards.

I NEED a packing list so that I can see what I still need to buy. That list is nowhere near finished but my brain just shut down last night.

Thank you she is cute and DEFINITELY fiesty.Right now she is mixing ketchup into her chicken soup to make it pretty.

My mom asked me to order us matching shirts from Disneyshopping and I did on Monday night. They arrived today!!
newmatchingshirts.jpg

Rebekah and I got pink sleeveless, mom got turquoise sleeveless,Peyton got navy and my dad got white. They didn't have Rachel's size but they had dad's which was amazing! The best thing is these only cost $4.99 and $6.99.
I am going to attempt to make the Mickey tye dye shirts one weekend soon.

Amy,

I read your pre-trip report - it is great! Your kids are adorable...

I got a the same baggalinni (in black though) and the same T-shirts for DH, DD and I (turquoise and navy) - great minds think alike! :lmao:

I'm sure you are going to have a great time. Did you do a countdown calendar? I would love to see a picture of it. I want to do one for my dd. I haven't decided whether to start it at 50 days or 30 days.

We decided on doing a 30 day countdown.I will post a picture in a little while.I think DH is feeling neglected.:surfweb: It is a hard job trying to keep up with as many trip reports as I do...some just don't understand.;)

I'm very impressed with your packing list! You're very organized!

I'm going to do the ziploc bag outfits too, what a time saver on the trip, no rummaging for clothes, and it appears to be a space saver in the suitcase as well :cool1:

I love your new shirts! So cute and what a great price!

Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

Hey Amy!

I finally made it over here to check out your pre-trip!

You do keep up quite the pace on your trips...we couldn't do it...on our first trip, I set the alarm to get to am EMH at MK after being up a bit the night before...DS said, "Momma, why are you waking us up so eeeeeaaaaaarly?" :lmao: It was priceless. I have learned...we need more downtime.:rotfl:

What fun you have planned...looking forward to reading more.:dance3:

HI!!Thanks for coming over.:goodvibes Yeah,it seems like we do keep up a fast pace.Rebekah and Peyton can stay at MK until 2:00 am and then jump up in the morning to go again.Rachel and the Grandparents go back whenever they get tired.last year on our nine day trip I scheduled in rest times and a day off from the parks and they rebelled.:confused3

Here is our countdown calendar.:goodvibes I stole the idea of taking pictures of the kids with the taken off mickey heads.I hope it doesn't make anyone upset.

Tonight my mom,dad and I went to Target and bought a cooler for the trip. The one we took last year leaked everywhere so we invested in a nice one that will fit in the stroller basket. This saves me a ton of money. It is funny how the smallest things become exciting because it takes us one step closer to DISNEY!!

I have been going through pictures in photobucket and thinking of last years trip. There were alot of special moments but one morning keeps coming to mind.
I love to spend one on one time with my kids but even with just two of them I feel a huge difference. On our last full day my parents decided to hang around the resort for a little while and offered to let me take Peyton and Rebekah to a park.Tyler had already flown home by this time.We jumped at the chance to go to a park with no stroller, diaper bag, etc. They chose Magic Kingdom and we were there before it opened. We had so much fun that morning doing things that we might not have done.

WDW2006579.jpg

We were there only a few minutes when they asked if they could get a sprite.Peyton went up to one of the carts and asked for a sprite using a Dining snack credit. The CM started gushing that they were her first customers and she had a special treat for him.The CM told him that if he and his sister could answer three trivia questions she would give them both their own sprite for free.I don't remember all the questions but they were about Cinderella. They answered them correctly and she not only gave them the drinks but gave each an icecream and the certificate.
WDW2006580.jpg

Our next stop was for Peyton to get his hair cut and both of them to get color put in it.BTW Peyton got his worst EVER haircut here.I was told when I got back that I should have requested the man.:confused3 Rebekah's took forever to dry and Peyton kept his about two hours before he was upside down in a sink scrubbing it out.

WDW2006590.jpg

I can't remember how many time we rode Space Mtn that morning but I do know it was extra fun because I wasn't worrying about Rachel having to wait on us.:thumbsup2
